Have you tried Mpeg Streamclip yet or perhaps visual hub prior to bringing these files into iMovie and then over to iDVD? It's just a thought that may help.To quote J Keller:If you'd like a DVD that plays in a standalone player, it has to conform to a set of standards. Menus are one of the options in those standards, and Apple has some plain menus.Your main issue will be the movies. That video format (.avi) is a container format (typically in the Windows world), and your video is compressed in one of many ways "inside" the .avi container. You'll need to convert that .avi video into .dv (DV Stream) for the best compatibility. MPEG Streamclip is freeware, try that to see if you can convert your video. If not, Visual Hub has lots of capability.Good luck! Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by David Cortesi, David Cortesi Oct 5, 2007 1:22 PM in response to weak

in 23.97 FPS in 50MB I captured the interviews into FCP edited them, and selected IDVD to burn the http://www.kenstone.net/discussions/read.php?3,29263 edited segment to DVD. Although I used a 16 X 9 aspect ratio template, it appears to have created the DVD in 4 X 3 aspect ratio. Is it not possible to create a 16 X 9 aspect ratio in IDVD? Please advise, thank you, Stevan Stevan@azfreelance.com Reply Quote Re: IDVD (November 06, 2010 06:40AM) Ken Stone Admin error during Stevan, When you first launch iDVD and click on 'new project', you are given the option to select Widescreen (16:9) --ken Reply Quote Re: IDVD (November 06, 2010 12:44PM) Stevan Ken, As I attempt to burn the 14 minute video to IDVD - I get: "Error during rendering/encoding" message something about slide/menu? I've been caught out with this before because it throws up all sorts of errors without letting you know exactly what the problem is. Reply Quote Re: IDVD (November 07, 2010 05:59AM) Stevan Ken, During the process of attempting to burn a DVD via IDVD, I decided to empty the trash to potentially see if that might be a space issue and discovered that there are secured items in the trash (417 items) which will not erase. I tried to erase them. What must I do to erase secured files in the trash? Stevan
