mins of rendereing before 2 mins burning the disc, however after rendering for a few minutes I get the "there was an error during movie encodin" message and that's it?I have over 30gb free space on my start up disc. I've also tried creating a disc image as mentioned in other forums but run into the same error message.Any help or advice would be great appreciated! Thanks and regards,John Posted on May 5, 2014 5:39 AM I have this question too by there was an error during muxing preparation (project conversion). Old Toad,Apple recommended Old Toad Level 10 (141,579 points) Mac OS X A: finally just tried adding in audio to the slide show in FCP and just lowered the volume to 0. Then exported to ProRes (.mov). This resolved the issue. Researching more into this a found that when iDVD is encoding it will look for audio and fail if there is no audio found.Yes. It was found in an earlier topic that video without audio would give the multiplexing error. Glad you discovered the problem and got a fix. For me, this iDVD encoding error message usually means there's an incompatibility in my process -- but with such a good track record, it sounds like something changed at animoto? or an iTunes upgrade? any changes to your System or iLife software? If you can double-click and play the mp4 file you downloaded, then animoto isn't likely to be the problem (make sure it's an mp4 file and not the ISO version from animoto). If you can play the file in iTunes (I'm not sure why iTunes is neces

was an error during movie https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/71/862209 encoding" by jim bachalo on May 20, 2011 at 1:47:02 am Arrrgh! Brand new i7 iMac, latest OSX updates, have been http://www.mac-forums.com/showthread.php?t=156033 trying to do something incredibly simple...burn a DVD with iDVD! The file is a .mp4 rendered from Adobe Media Encoder. I error during tried different sizes, different formats, same result. Finally got a tip on the 2nd thread.. https://discussions.apple.com/message/5144580 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1561525?threadID=1561525 It seems you MUST go thru iMovie. The .mp4 was originally exported via Premiere from Adobe Media Encoder. I dragged the .mp4 into a new iMovie idvd error during project and then 'shared' it with iDVD. But why the heck can't iDVD give you a more descriptive error message....? I had the same problem last night. Try this: I recreated all the files using the Quick Time codec (.mov) files. It worked like a charm. I also had problems rendering the Menu files. It was a problem on the DVD theme track muted. Unmute it and voila! Hope it helps you!Return to posts indexReport Post<< PREVIOUS • VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >>© 2016 CreativeCOW.net All Rights Reserved[TOP]

I keep getting 2 anomalies: the 1st is that randomly the drop boxes no longer show the footage that I've dropped into them but instead just start showing a white box. When previewing the DVD nothing appears in the drop boxes and no audio can be heard. To rectify this I have to quit iDVD then restart mt MacBook Pro. The 2nd is that every time I try and burn a DVD either as a Disc Image or the real thing I get an error just after it renders the Menus (which takes about an hour!!) The error says something like "Error encoding/rendering" Can anyone shed any light on this? I'm running a fully updated iDVD 7.0 on a MacBook Pro with Leopard.
