I still get this message " Error establishing a database connection." so i contact with error establishing a database connection dreamhost my hosting the admins answer me "find ways to optimize the site such that it uses less RAM during its operation or wordpress error establishing a database connection localhost upgrade your plan for more ram" this is the website http://www.bosnagate.com just buy this VPS before 4 month for 1 year and I don't use this much of disk space it's only 5 giga from 60 http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-error-establishing-a-database-connection-in-wordpress/ giga and I not install to much plugins in wordpress i remove most of them and the error message some time still come and show and very annoying what if I use more dick space and visitors come alot to the site so it will be a black screen or what!? Error establishing a database connection means only one thing. The information in your wp-config.php file has an error. But, your site is up now. zerozanet @zerozanet 2 months, 2 weeks ago It might be that your webserver allows for more connections than your database server. I am not sure if this is something that your hosting provider will adjust for you. It depends if your VPS is managed or unmanaged. I would suggest you ask your host / VPS admin to check MySQL's max_connection setting and increase the default 100 to 250. The setting is located in the server's my.cnf If your VPS has cPanel or WHM it could be located somewhere in the panel itself.
