There are no typos or extra spaces in my wp-config file. I created a new DB via MyPHPAdmin. MAMP is set to the default port settings and points directly to my root folder. MAMP shows Apache and MySQL running. I confirmed by logging into mysql.mysitename.com that my username and password are functioning correctly. Any ideas why I might still be getting the DB connection error?
