The result is the following error message: "Error communicating with psshutdown service on local system. The system may not have been shutdown: Die Pipe wurde beendet." What's wrong? Thank you for your support... The interesting part of the problem is that if I use command "psshutdown -h -t 5", I got the error message, but if I use "psshutdown -h -t 0", my computer hibernates immediately as expected. muddyh2o wrote:

I have got psshutdown to work fine on http://www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/46812-psshutdown-restart-server.html workstations, but can't get the server to execute the command on itself - when I try, it tells me "error communicating with the psshutdown service on local system". Any ideas? People can choose which shutdown they error establishing would like to use in their unattende install. I voted no btw. I don't like it to see 3rd party software is added into the update pack Back to top RyanVMSite AdminJoined: 23 Nov 2004Posts: 5161Location: Pennsylvania Posted: Sat Dec 18, 2004 8:43 am Post subject: You voted no to removing it?_________________Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website! error establishing communication http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2357 Back to top AcheronJoined: 25 Nov 2004Posts: 389Location: The Netherlands Posted: Sat Dec 18, 2004 8:49 am Post subject: I voted yes. (Problem) Hey guys, Im looking for a application (java, vb.net, anything) that will allow me to remotely shutdown a PC. I could whip one up in VB, but I cant really be bothered. Preferably, Im wanting something that runs as a system tray icon, and will allow me to shutdown ALL machines on the network in one click. I have the network shutdown command running for the 2k boxes, but there are a bunch of XP and 2003 boxes that I would like to shutdown as well. __________________ See sig run!
