SQLSTATE= S1000 up vote 1 down vote favorite After upgrade our IBM System i (aka i5/OS or AS/400) from V5R4 to V7R1, one of our applications that connect to DB2 using ODBC fails with the following error: Error Code: 69899 SQLSTATE: S1000 [IBM] [System i Access ODBC Driver] [DB2 for i5/OS] PWS0005 Error occurred in the database host server code. The symptoms are: In a http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14976625/ibm-db2-odbc-driver-issue-error-69899-error-occurred-in-the-database-host-serv While / Wend loop a CURSOR is declared, then opens, do fetch(s) and close. If at any iteration the cursor does not retrieve any rows, in the following iteration the error occurs after declaring the cursor (with a different SQL query) when you try to open it. First we updated the ODBC driver to the latest version available, but the problem persists. Because we needed an urgent solution, I solved the problem by making a pre-select to determine if the cursor will return rows, otherwise skip that iteration, this solves the problem for now but does not seem a very elegant solution. Any idea how to get more information about the error that occurs on the host? Thank you very much in advance. db2 ibm-midrange db2400 share|improve this question asked Feb 20 '13 at 9:41 Pedro Vaquero 386 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote Generally speaking, if an error occurs in the server side code, you should call IBM support and report it. They'll ask if you're on the latest cume and probably the latest database group PTFs. The server runs the ODBC connexion in a job called QZDASOINIT. Since there are probably many connexions to the

A database error occurred while processing this request. Permalink January 26, 2014 at 8:54 PM I have seen this problem way too many times on the forum - now I am seeing it for myself. Site works fine on MAMP local sever. The site was upgraded to a newer version on my local server. Things I have done - exported and imported the database ( phpmyadmin ) Created database user I have set all the permissions for folders to 777 ( folders mentioned in the moving a site ) Cleared all the cache files - then copied to Archive ( zip ) all files Uploaded Archive and decompressed. Changed config/site.php to show new changes (top 4 defines) define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); define('DB_USERNAME', 'new-username'); define('DB_PASSWORD', 'new-password'); define('DB_DATABASE', 'new-database-name'); define('PASSWORD_SALT', 'gcGvGPaIHCvoU1JYtVBSaubEHblahblahblah'); Site doesn't work ( soccerelectronics.com) Unable to connect to database I think that migration from local to server should be way simpler - Is there an Add-on to collect everything from local and then do clean install on server? This is very frustrating. I have done this before by doing Concrete install first then going through and re-adding all packages and importing ( drop tables ) and I have had it work before but that is a lot of work where copying the exact files should work. Very frustrating. INTcommunicationsDate Joined: 04/23/13Karma: 2,575Answers:8Bio:View Profile View Replies: Threaded Chronological (Earliest First) Chronological (Recent First
