This happens for a table that does not have any error failed primary keys or unique indexes defined. Symptom Your target database is either DB2 LUW or SQL Server. A row which CDC tries and fails to update, is not present in the target table. Neither source nor target table has primary keys or unique indexes defined. In Management Console, in affected table mapping settings, key is set to error failed to either "Use an index" -> "Auto Detect" or "Use all searchable columns". Cause When you configure CDC to either "Use an index" -> "Auto Detect" or "Use all searchable columns" for a table with no primary keys or unique indexes, it will use all searchable columns in WHERE clause when applying data on target. This works without problems unless there are duplicate rows present in source table. If duplicates are present, below scenario can occur: Lets assume you have duplicate rows in source table that were refreshed to target. You delete one of those rows. This information is stored in transaction log. CDC software reads the operation from transaction log, sends this operation to target datastore and it gets applied. As there are also two duplicates in target table and they cannot be distinguished by value of any column in WHERE clause, they will both get deleted. Later when you update or delete the other row, this operation is also read from transaction log and applied on target. But as bot
