mail error 0x80048820 help ? Discussion in 'Software' started by Blaze2011, Jan 23, 2011. Blaze2011 Private E-2 I've searched the forum but http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/live-mail-error-0x80048820-help.231670/ couldn't find a similar problem mentioned, so I'm really hoping you guys can help me out with this. For over a week now I've been getting an error message on both of my hotmail accounts when I open Live Mail. Unable to send or receive messages for the hotmail (*******) account. Server error: 0x80048820 Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820 error id I get an occasional error message on my ISP email addy but most of the time that one's ok. In my attempts to fix this I've tried : Confirmed the date and time on my PC is ok. Unchecking *Check for server certification revocation*. Downloading latest version of Windows Live Mail. Removing accounts and adding them back in (several times). Rebooting ........ many windows live mail times. During all of this I also re-installed Windows 7 (for other reasons) and downloaded Live Mail from scratch. Still getting the same error messages. I've been bouncing around the Windows Solution Centre for about a week now, they keep telling me they've fixed it .......... I keep telling them they haven't. I don't know if this is relevant in any way but the time and date on the emails that do manage to sneak through don't match when they were sent or when they hit the inbox. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this ? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
