243 Lync Server , Lync > Lync 2010 and OCS - Planning and Deployment office 365 Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi All, I installed Lync Standard edition using the steps mentioned in this blog - http://policelli.com/blog/archive/2011/02/28/step-by-step-guide-to-deploying-lync-server-2010-standard-edition-published/ I hv a AD and Lync Std Edition. I dont hv an exchange server in my demo environment. I hv also configured SIP trunk similar to details on this link http://www.circuitid.com/blog/lync-setup-guide-using-circuitid-part-1-configuring-mediation-server My dial plans are similar to details mentioned here - http://www.circuitid.com/blog/lync-setup-guide-using-circuitid-part-2-configuring-voice-routing All the users hv Enterprise telephony enabled in their profile. When i dial an external number, i get "call was not completed or ended" when i click for more details, i get reference error ID 10001 and source id 243. Any idea what does this mean. How to debug the call route. Thanks for your help, Bajjee Thanks, Bajjee Thursday, July 07, 2011 8:54 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Reached out to few super smart people and they figured out that - INVITE sip:+14257857303@192.168.79.134:5070 is misleading log output and infact Lync was trying to access it via port 5060. It resulted in port conflict which we figured out based on network trace. I changed the Mediation pool TCP port and and matched it with PSTN gateway port. Finally everthing started working as expected. Thanks for the help eve
Cheddon LimitedContact UsCookies and Privacy Post navigation ← Previous Next → Error ID 1002 Source ID 243 in Lync Online or Office 365 Posted on 14/11/2013 by Declan Conroy After subscribing to Lync Online as part of Office 365, I recently experienced the error ID 1002 (source ID 243) when trying to contact an external contact. As error's go, it's not very useful, friendly or descriptive. My Office 365 Enterprise E1 plan comes with Exchange, SharePoint and Lync Online. I've used Lync before, and I'm pleased to get it back. It's pretty useful when you get used to it. The infrastructure required to use Lync in house is prohibitive for a https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/b936a29e-9bc3-4240-b1c8-6bb6ab4ee863/error-id-10001-and-source-id-243?forum=ocsplanningdeployment small business, and this is really where cloud comes into it's own. The Office 365 feature set is limited however in some areas, for example I can do PC to PC audio, as yet I can't break out from the PC to a telephone. The defaults when you first activate Lync for a 365 user are not set up to allow external access, which is http://www.cheddon.co.uk/error-id-1002-source-id-243/ also a bit limiting. After you download install and configure the Lync client and it will happily sit showing your status and everything looks good. Internally within your Office 365 tenancy, and your organisation everything works fine. error id 1002 (source id 243) If you invite somebody to contact you via Lync or try to IM an external contact however it doesn't work, and you get the rather ambiguous error ID 1002 (source ID 243) It turns out that External Communications aren't enabled by default within the Lync Admin Console for Office 365 You firstly have to enable External Communication within the Lync admin center at the Organisation level. I've select the option to enable external access except for blocked domains, and to turn on communication with Skype and other public IM services. If you want to you can the disable it for individual users. These changes don't take effect immediately. You may need to wait a few minutes before everything kicks in to play and error id 1002 (source id 243) goes away! This entry was posted in Cloud, Lync, Office 365, Troubleshooting by Declan Conroy. Lync, we had users that would consistantly get an error 3110 when trying to join recurring meetings. troubleshooting revealed that the servers were originally deployed in http://lynctastic.blogspot.com/2011/08/lync-error-id-3110-source-id-243.html default mode with Enterprise Voice enabled. We soon discovered that our network couldn't handle so much simultaneous real-time traffic, so we disabled enterprise voice for all but a small, select group of users. http://tomtalks.uk/2011/07/ms-diagnostic-errors/ While we were troubleshooting, I found a workaround: So, the workaround allowed users to enter the meetings, but it was not solving the issue. I spent a good deal of time troubleshooting this error id and I believe the root cause is the fact that we disabled EV for the vast majority of users. The meeting URI created when the users were initially created meant the meeting had audio rights, and since the user's didn't anymore, the join for the user was trying to open an audio session. Since the users didn't have audio conference rights, the join fails for error id 1004 audio, but you can see by the picture above, you are in the lobby. To join the meeting, all you have to do is click on IM and type something in. The true fix would be to either have the users cancel all preexisting recurring meetings, or set the meeting configs to force a new URI to be generated for each and every meeting as shown below: That should make your 3110 errors a distant memory.
