Reason: HTTP status 404: The requested URL does not exist on the server. I have no idea why updates are failing, not all of them fail but a lot do. Updates are failing because the files associated with those updates were deleted from the WSUS server. In this case it's the update for KB2556532 (July 2011). Run wsusutil reset to re-download the missing content, and then review the procedures you're using to manage the filesystem on your WSUS server.Lawrence Garvin, M.S., MCITP:EA, MCDBA, MCSA Principal/CTO, Onsite Technology Solutions, Houston, Texas Microsoft MVP - Software Distribution (2005-2011) My MVP Profile: http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Lawrence.Garvin My Blog: http://onsitechsolutions.spaces.live.com Marked as answer by Clarence ZhangModerator Friday, November 18, 2011 7:06 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 11:26 PM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote Hi, HTTP status 404errors always indicate the missing file in the Wsuscontent folderwhich is not identical with the DB.Run wsusutil reset to see whether it works. Don't know myself - would like to - about to push SP3 to my largest client - and don't wanna see the same! I doubt it'll help, but I periodically run a WSUS database cleanup script - optimises (re-indexes) the database - you'll find it on MS somewhere.
