All are configured the same way and are fully patched. One member is getting event ID 14141 Proxy Server Loop. I can't find anything recent on this or anything helpful in resolving the issue. If I reboot the box it goes away for about 8 hours or so. Thank you, Monday, January 25, 2010 9:27 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Thank you for the update. Please try the following steps to see if we can resolve this issue: 1. If there is no virus found, you may open regedit program and navigate to the following registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\fpc\Arrays\{GUID}\ArrayPol icy\WebProxy\Locate the value FPCDnsCacheTTL and change the value date to 0. Reboot the server and then check the event log. Will the problem be resolved? 2. Please make sure the DNS configuration is set as followingExternal NIC:IP: assigned by your ISP or your hardware routerGateway: your ISP or your Hardware router IPDNS: INTERNAL NIC IP as the only entryInternal NIC:IP: Fixed IPGateway: NoneDNS: INTERNAL NIC IP as the only entry In the DNS console (dnsmgmt.msc), right click your ServerName and click properties. In the Forwarders tab, your ISP DNS server IP should be inputted there. 3. Please open the DNS tab of the external NIC TCP/IP propertie
Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end up with quite a few of them. If ten years ago it was still common to see an entire company using just one server, these days that's no longer the case. New computers are added to the network with the understanding that they will be taken care of by the admins. Keeping an eye on these servers is a tedious, time-consuming process. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/forefront/en-US/424e2fb7-59be-496a-9547-956eedfec352/proxy-server-loop-event-id-14141?forum=ForefrontserverMC hour to make sure that everything is ok and no "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. read more... Comments: Anonymous This error http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-14141-source-Microsoft%20Web%20Proxy-eventno-2601-phase-1.htm can occur due to DNS issues where the ISA server resolves the internal site name back to the external address. In my case for no apparent reason, an SBS with ISA 2000 server started looping for the OWA and remote websites that were being sent to the external domain URL. NSLookup resolved correctly on the server, but to resolve the problem required added a new primary zone for the external domain and creating an A record for the mail address. If using NSLookup on the external ULR domain you get both the internal resolution and a non-authoritative result that points to the external, then create a new zone with the external. x 24 Thomas Blatti This error is well documented at the bottom of the document (applies to SBS 2003 and maybe to other server products) Troubleshooting Web Proxy Traffic in ISA Server 2004. I updated the TMG server to Service Pack 2 and the results at first looked good. I checked a few days later and the problem returned. I will note that I DO NOT have this issue on my standalone TMG servers and the problem is only occurring on Virtual TMG servers. 0 Jalapeno OP Best Answer Brian3541 Dec 10, 2012 at 2:16 UTC Mine seem to have been related to DNS resolution. I switched my OWA and ActiveSync rules to look up by IP address instead of hostname and the issue hasn't returned in 2 weeks. 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year.
