Comments: EventID.Net According to ME940453, this behavior occurs error id because the account that you use to log on to the computer is a member of one or more of the following groups: Guests or Domain Guests. See the article for the suggested resolution. x 1 Hewhotry In my case, the culprit was a Nvidia update driver. If under Users you have a map called UpdateusUser, you have (by updating a Nvidia driver) allowed to search for updates. Solution: uninstall driver error id 1511 update (Google for UpdateusUser to see how). You may check EV100529 (What is “UpdatusUser” Folder and How to Remove it from Windows Explorer?). This ultimatly had to do with the “profile path” I had entered “\\sbserver\usershares\%username%”. The server will try to append and extension indicating the profile/windows version to the path, in my case it was “.V2? making the path “\\sbserver\usershares\john.V2?. Unfortunately, the user does not have permission to modify the “UserShares” folder so a temporary profile was used for that session. This can be resolved by adding a trailing backslash making the profile path a folder named “\\sbserver\usershares\john\.V2\”. ID 1511 User Profile Service--Logging on with Temp Profile Discussion in 'Software' started by MamaBear1968, Jun 1, 2014. MamaBear1968 Private E-2 I got this error message (among several others) this morning when I tried to log on. After reading the different events in the Event Log (I attached 1 of each event), I tried to troubleshoot the problems (here's the list): 1502: Windows cannot load locally stored profile 1508: Windows was unable to load the registry 'C:\Users\Deana J. Shaffer\ntuser.dat' and 'C:\Users\Deana J. Shaffer\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\\UsrClass.dat' (quotes used to ID files) 1511: Windows couldn't find local profile-logging on with temporary profile 1542: Windows cannot load classes registry file but didn't find any information on how to fix it. After a few minutes of brainstorming (and cussing out my computer! ha ha), I did the ONLY thing I thought would help: run System Restore, which solved the problem. My questions are: WHY did this happen (registry/files were corrupted) and HOW do I keep this from happening again? I'm running Windows 8, 64-bit operating system, x64 based processor.
