Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end up with quite a few of them. If ten years ago it was still common to see an entire

to the network with the understanding that they will be taken care of by the admins. Keeping an eye on these servers is a mrxsmb10 tedious, time-consuming process. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an hour to make sure that everything is ok and no "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/889000 read more... An example of Our approach Comments: Langolier Microsoft hotfix KB 957097 was the main problem for 2 of my partners, not the same hardware (SiS NIC cards vs http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-3019-source-MRxSmb-eventno-149-phase-1.htm Realtek, Broadcom Wi-Fi vs Intel), nor the same antivirus program (Kaspersky v7 & 2010 vs NIS2009) and the problem occurs ONLY on writing data over network using an application (like accounting software), copy files over network works great and internet access too. Restoring MRXSMB.SYS file from SP/ installation resolves the problem. So, do not install KB957097! x 305 Anonymous This can occur when you have Internet Explorer 7 with the module "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" installed. Adding the server to Secure Sites or removing this module from Windows Components will allow access to local share. I tested in Windows Server 2003. x 241 Anonymous This event was logged after the Windows Guest account was disabled, the machine rebooted, and other PCs attempted access to a share on this machine that was shared to "Everyone". x 231 EventID.Net See WITP27037 - the link to "The Ever-Morphing Mrxsmb" for information about MRxSmb events. This event can occur when you search for files or for folders over a wide area network (WAN) link from a Microsoft Windows XP-based client computer. See ME925885 for information on how to solve this problem. x 241 Fabian Malhage In my case, I resolved this problem by going to "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters" on my first DC and changing the "IsDomainMaster" key to "TRUE". This forced a master browser on my NT network. x 253 Anonymous This event also appears when you have selected the option to aut

The only clue I can find is a warning in Event Viewer about MRxSmb code 3019. The computer does have a link to a shared folder on another pc and the error id problems seem to start when this folder is accessed. I've had a look at a number of fixes for the problem, unfortunately the general concensus is to ignore it and most posts seem to be from a number of years ago. The problem has only just started - the only thing that has changed recently is a few Windows updates last week but doing a System Restore to a prior point had no effect on the problem.Anyone else come across this error id 3019 issue? & any suggestions please."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Report • #2 johnr March 10, 2010 at 04:42:04 Thanks for reply. Already did a full scan with resident Kaspersky. I'd been asked to look at system because of general slowness/freezing so I'd already done the scan, removed loads of rubbish etc. & this event viewer warning is the only thing left. System works 100% until I try connecting to the networked folder & unfortunately networking is not my forte beyond the basics. As it's only a warning, rather than an error, & there's nothing else listed I'm still not absolutely certain that this is the root problem, but I want to get rid of it - even Microsoft's 'fix' is to ignore it!!"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." on many workstations and servers is this:Event Type: WarningEvent Source: MRxSmbEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 3019Date: 13/11/2009Time: 8:27:32 AMUser: N/AComputer: ALOEDescription:The redirector failed to determine the connection type. This error can be ignored. It occurs whenever a network drive is mapped, and a user goes and tries to map the same network drive again. For example if you have a logon script that maps the drive when a user logs in, then next time they login it tries to remap the drives again, it will generate this error for each failed drive mapping.
