The log file must not be read only. English: Request a translation of the event http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Windows+Operating+System&ProdVer=5.2&EvtID=4126&EvtSrc=Ci description in plain English. Concepts to understand: What is the role of the MSDTC service? Comments: Rob Moss I came across this error followed by event 4163, 4185, 2445, 4112, and 4111 one after the other. MSDTC would not start in Services. Nothing seemed to be contingent upon this service and all seemed http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-4126-source-MSDTC-eventno-7599-phase-1.htm well otherwise. I tried to reset the log and followed other articles but to no avail. I went to look to see if I needed to remove anything with Add/Remove and then looked at Add/Remove Windows Components. Under “Application Server”, “Enable Network DTC Access” was not installed. I installed it, the service started, and the errors disappeared. This pertains to Windows 2003 Server Standard.
