Please let me know what steps should i take to recover ? They are both Windows 2008 R2. Some cluster disks are created in the group. C:\Windows\Cluster>Cluster resource SERVER1 /online This fails with the following error: System error 5023 has occurred (0x0000139f). The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation Resolving error id 5023 the problem This occurs when the cluster resource gets in a bad state where it reports as offline, however it is not. In this case you should use the following commands to take the resource offline and then bring it back online.
