Is the problem appeared only on the SQL-SRV server? You can use AD UC and reset SQL-SRV account password and check again. Also, you can try to unjoin and join again the server to the domain and the problem will be solved. I recommand that you ask for the impact of performing that in the SQL forums before proceeding: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/fr-CH/category/sqlserver This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. I keep getting this error type for some of the users on a daily basis(just upgraded from NT). I followed the link it provided on the bottom which takes me to Microsoft and it explains the event. Problem, its explanation of a resolution is for nt workstation or server. The symptoms state "a domain controller for your domain could not be located and you have been logged on using a cached information". Any suggestions on how in the resolution section I can do this for 2k/xp computers? RE: Not familiar with 2003 server/Event ID :5513 Jpoandl (MIS) 8 Dec 04 12:21 Off the cuff it

Solved event viewer Netlogon error 5513 Posted on 2003-11-25 Networking 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 14,131 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 Hello, I error id continue to get the following error in Event viewer for only one user. Source: NETLOGON Event ID: 5513 The computer "computer name" tried to connect to the server "server name" using the trust relationship established by the "domain name" domain. However, the computer lost the correct security identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfgured. Reestablish the trust relationship. This user has an XP machine. error id 5513 Our server was rebuilt about three weeks ago which is part of the reason why this has happened. To fix this on other XP machines I have gone through the process of removing them from the domain putting them in a workgroup and then re-adding them to the domain. The only problem with this is that XP creates a new profile when you do this and it takes a while on some machines to get this straightened out. Is there an easier way to fix this error without having to go through all of that? 0 Question by:hlmadmin Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 49 Best Solution bysunray_2003 Dear hlmadmin, Check this http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=5513&eventno=484 Thanks, Sunray Go to Solution 3 Comments LVL 49 Overall: Level 49 Networking 9 Message Accepted Solution by:sunray_20032003-11-25 Dear hlmadmin, Check this http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=5513&eventno=484 Thanks, Sunray 0 LVL 18 Overall: Level 18 Networking 11 Message Expert Comment by:chicagoan2003-11-25 see also http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=216393 0 Message Author Comment by:hlmadmin2003-12-01 Thanks for your support!! 0 Write Comment First Name Please enter a first name Last Name Please enter a last name Email We will never share this with anyone. Guest After reinstalling server 2000, all the patches, etc, recreating users and the like (Active Dir crapped out!), I have some users that login fine, but I get the NETLOGON event 5513 error that looks like this Event Type: Error Event Source: NETLOGON Event Category: None Event ID: 5513 Date: 12/3/2003 Time: 5:53:34 PM User: N/A Computer: LC2000 Description: The computer JERRY-ZOLL tried to connect to the server \\LC2000 using the trust relationship established by the BEST-MORTGAGE domain. However, the computer lost the correct security identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfigured. Reestablish the trust relationship. This event is NOT in the Microsoft knowledge base not can I find anything on the reestablish trust relationship that fits this problem. I have several users like this (but yet they work). Ideas? Ro , Dec 4, 2003 #1 Advertisements Cary Shultz [A.D. MVP] Guest Ro, Take a look at the following link: http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=5513&source= I think that the bottom one best sums up the situation. I believe, based on what you have written, that the computer accounts were alive and kicking in the old domain but that since you have rebuilt your AD the current computer accounts do not exist in AD. You would need to create those computer accounts in your current AD. This should get you running without the 5513 errors.
