I'm getting the following error: Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: MSExchangeFBPublishEvent Category: General Event ID: 8207 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=8.0&EvtID=8207&EvtSrc=MSExchangeFBPublish&LCID=1033 Date: 2/17/2012 Time: 9:24:59 AM User: N/A Computer: [server] Description:Error updating public folder with free/busy information on virtual machine [server]. I found this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945602 When I try to run the command get-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/bbaf1bcf-0400-461b-9f89-88c2e77999e6/event-id-8207-error-0x80004005-on-exchange-2007?forum=exchangesvrgenerallegacy FREE BUSY" -Recurse it says the folder isn't there. If I run just get-publicfolder. I get the result "IPM_SUBTREE". If I run Get-OfflineAddressBook, I do get 2 address books listed. Any help where I need to look next? If you make a mistake, you may need to completely rebuild your domain. Unless you're working with a test domain, I would strongly recommend that first test in lab environment rather than trying to hack the structure yourself. The server is windows server 2003 SP2, the error id 8207 exchange server is 2007 sp3. Exchange was migrated from exchange 2003 and the exchange 2003 server is removed from the organisation. We do not use outlook 2003 in our organisation, only outlook 2007 and outlook 2010. when I issue this command exchange shell: get-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" -Recurse | fl name,Replicas I receive this output : Name : SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY Replicas : {} Name : EX:/o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) Replicas : {Servername\Public folders\Public Folder Database} I have found some articles where they are saying that when there is no replica object for "EX:/o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)" i should run this command: set-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY\EX:/o=ORG NAME/ou=Legacy Administrative Group" -replicas "Server\Second StorageGroup\Public Folder Database But in my case I have the public folders object set in this replica, but have no replica object for "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY", should I set the public folder object in that replica too? Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish Event Category: General Event ID: 8207 User: N/A Computer: OURCOMPUTER (Occurs once every hours or so) Description: Error updating public folder with free-busy information on virtual machine OURCOMPUTER. The error number is 0x80004005. Please note that we have looked at these article, but it applies to older versions of Exchange 2000/2003: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q327336 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;284200 But as the way Free/busy is done in exchange 2007 has changed dramatically, they don't seem applicable for our situation. Also, despite the error message, we are not running a virtual machine on this server. Any ideas?
