Yesterday on of our UPS' died and took down about 6 servers, a few terminal servers and possibly a DC. Right then I saw alot of error messages in the Exchange Server application log, and actually had to reboot in order to get mail flowing. The error message was: Source MsExchangeSA Event ID 9074 The Directory Service Referral interface failed to service a client request. RFRI is returning the error code:[0x3f0]. There are a ton of these error messages that take place within a 2 minute time period. I did not pay much attention to these errors because I thought it was just due to a few servers going down. But this morning when I came in I saw that at 6:00:00 AM the same error message is logged alot of times again. I looked in the system log and I saw that the following error is logged right before the the 9074 error appears in the application log Source: LSASRV Event ID: 40960 The Security System detected an authentication error for the server cifs/OurDomainController.Ourdomain.com. Source: LSASRV Event ID: 40961 The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server cifs/OurOtherDomainController.Ourdomain.com. No authentication protocol was available. The error messages on our Exchange server are really worrying to me. Thanks for your help!! 0 Question by:jswanepoel Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 13 Best Solution byGeorge Sas You can
