(Exchange 2003), whenever I disable an Active Directory account. Basically goes like this: " disabled user (then the location in Active Directory) does not have a master account SID. Please use Active Directory MMC to set an active account as this user's master account". The accounts that are disabled, are usually staff on extended, or maternity leave. When they are re-activated, these warning messages go away. Is there a process I am missing, when I want to disable an account?? Deleting their exchange mailbox is not an option. This error is more of an annoyance then anything, but it is filling up Event Viewer, and could potentially cause me to miss more important messages. Thanks in advance. The article he posts describes the solution regarding Nomas and short of deleting the account which has its own set of implications what else can you do to prevent the account from logging on. No 9548s and no broken mailboxes. You are also left with the account i
