I'm trying to load a MXML file inside my ActionScript, like this.Code:package myEngine { import flash.display.*; import Interface.*; /** * ... * * @author Deathspike */ public class myWindow extends Sprite { public function myWindow() { var hLogin : Login = new Login(); this.addChild( hLogin ); } }}But end up with the following error..Code:[Fault] exception, information=Error: No class registered for interface 'mx.managers::ILayoutManager'.Why is this happening? It is not designed for loading it at runtime - it would be very difficult and redundant. From the error message it seems like you have used Flex framework classes in Login class - well, Flex framework creates to many dependencies, and is not really compatible with normal AS3 projects in a sense it makes to many assumption about how it was loaded and what classes must be present in the compiled SWF and so on. You can "fool" the framework code to make it think it runs in the proper environment, but it is difficult and worthless. It's either use the framework, or write your own from scratch, the compromise solution will much likely get the disadvantages of both approaches with little benefits. _________________http://www.couchsurfing.com/people/wvxvw Mon Jul 12, 2010 4:25 pm Deathspike Member Joined: Mon Jul 12, 2010 12:32 pmPosts: 5 Re: Compiling/Loading MXML? But I am using the Flex SDK and FlashDevelop to write ActionScript scripts, compile them and launch it. What should I do to create interfaces then? I thought learning MXML would be easy and it would speed up interface development a million times. I'm better off using AsWing otherwise (which in my opinion, is bloated)? Mon Jul 12, 2010 10
