I generated jpcap.jar from your github url and using same in my project. https://github.com/mgodave/Jpcap/blob/master/src/java/jpcap/JpcapCaptor.java static { System.loadLibrary("jpcap"); } But I'm getting following error if run my program due to the static block above in JpcapCaptor.java. I hope you might be loading the dll, but what would i load in mac OS X 10.8 in place of the https://github.com/mgodave/Jpcap/issues/1 dll. -bash-3.2$ java -Djava.library.path=./classes/lib/jpcap.jar -classpath ./all-http-reader-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar com.mveettil.tool.http.Httpreader Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jpcap in java.library.path at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1860) at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:845) at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1084) at jpcap.JpcapCaptor.(Unknown Source) at com.mveettil.tool.http.Httpreader.main(Httpreader.java:147) Owner mgodave commented Aug 7, 2014 There is no jni lib for that platform. There's a Darwin target in the make file but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. manmohanpv commented Aug 7, 2014 Is there jni lib for linux platform? If yes, could you add that? seems like i would get same exception if i run it on any platform other than windows, wouldn't i? Owner mgodave commented Aug 7, 2014 $ cd src/c $ make Generates libjpcap.jnilib which is needed for osx. On linux it will generate libjpcap.so, as long as those are in your path java should figure the rest out. I forked this project but haven't put much work into it. I really need to rewrite the build and the native parts of all this. manmohanpv referenced this issue Aug 14, 2014 Open libpcap.so.0.9.4: cannot open shared object file in RHEL 64 bit #3 Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub.
