Sometimes, BMPs are named as JPEG, but are not. You can check that the two first bytes are FFD8. A BMP file would start by 424D.Secondly, what does say your phpinfo() in the GD section? Does it indicate support for JPEG?ReplyRe: Error: No create from JPEG supportnew!# Replyby Koen, 10 years agoIm 100% sure the uploads I tried were jpegs, phpinfo says :image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, application/x-shockwave-flash, */*ReplyRe: Error: No create from JPEG supportnew!# Replyby colin, 10 years agoOK.In the PHP info, you should have in the section GD, in the table underneath, the following line:JPG Support enabledAlso, is the destination directory writable? Try to chmod it to 777 during the tests.ReplyRe: Error: No create from JPEG supportnew!# Replyby Koen, 10 years agoI looked up the gd section, and JPG Support enabled is just missing. So I guess thats the problem.. :'(Since its not my server im running my website on, I can't change it.Tnx for help :)ReplyRe: Error: No create from JPEG supportnew!# Replyby Mario, 4 years, 4 months agoHello, I encountered same error and JPEG support was enabled, the problem was with files permission.Directory was set to 777 but file (image) inside that folder that class.upload was overwriting and that image didn't have the right permissions.Image was chmod 644 but not apache (www-data) user and class.upload did not have privileges to overwrite it and returned "No JPEG create support" error.hope this helpsReply print version | plain tex

This code: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3477896/php-jpeg-functions-not-working 5, 'A Simple Text String', $text_color); header('Content-type: image/jpeg'); imagejpeg($im); imagedestroy($im); ?> creates an empty file. Using a GIF or PNG function will create an image containing the text "A Simple Text String" as expected. This: $im = imagecreatefromjpeg("test.jpg"); returns Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg() [function.imagecreatefromjpeg]: 'test.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /path/to/test.php on line 2 A phpinfo() shows: gd GD Support enabled GD Version 2.0 or higher FreeType Support enabled FreeType Linkage with freetype FreeType Version 2.3.9 T1Lib Support enabled GIF Read Support enabled GIF Create Support enabled JPG Support enabled PNG Support enabled WBMP Support enabled And the webserver can read any relevant files. GIF and PNG functions work fine, and as expected. Any ideas? I am using iPhoto '09 and I am running OS X https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4195788?tstart=0 10.6.8. I have created a folder on my desktop in which I was to export 312 photos to using the title for the filename. When I go to File > Export and set the option is starts running and then all of a sudden stop with the message "Unable to create /users/...". I have tried having it export to the desktop and I still get he message. I error no have even created the folder it's to export to. No matter where I export to or how I do it it still only exports 45 of the 312 photos. If I have it name the file sequentially it did 174. I think this means that the error is being cause from iPhoto trying to rename the photos. We wanted to use the title so we can send these error no jpeg photos as they are photos of great grandparents etc.Anyone know how to resolve this issue?Thank you iPhoto '08, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Really it's iPhoto '09 Posted on Aug 10, 2012 9:04 AM I have this question too Close Q: iPhoto export error "Unable to create /users/..." Have you tried a diffrerent title? Can you successfully export using the original file name? If so a workaround would be to use a renaming application to post rename them.
