ASRock Z77 Extreme4 with Intel video chipset, 8gb ram. I'm seeing google references to this as a USB 3 issue in this driver but as I'm using stock 12.04 I wanted to at least get a bug ref for ubuntu. Entire dmesg is filled with: [22822.772021] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [22822.772024] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [22822.772027] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [22822.772030] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [22822.772034] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [22822.772037] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring Information about my system: root@mythtv:~# uname -a Linux mythtv 3.2.0-29-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 27 17:03:23 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux root@mythtv:~# lspci -v 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family DRAM Controller (rev 09) Subsystem: ASRock Incorporation Device 0100 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0 Capabilities: [e0] Vendor Specific Information: Len=0c > Kernel driver in use: agpgart-intel 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: ASRock Incorporation Device 0102 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 54 Memory at f7800000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M] Memory at e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] I/O ports at f000 [size=64] Expansion ROM at here for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site About Us Learn more about Stack Overflow the company Business Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us Unix & Linux Questions Tags Users Badges Unanswered Ask Question _ Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a http://askubuntu.com/questions/187644/error-no-room-on-ep-ring-with-usb-3-0-device question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems. It all looks like this: [timestamp] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR no room on ep ring It's happening over 100 times per second, every 5 seconds or so, on every tty. Other similar questions say it's happening because of external drives, but the only drive I have mounted is /dev/sda1 (root), as well as a swap partition on /dev/sda5 EDIT: Here's mount as root: sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime) proc on /proc type proc (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime) udev on /dev type devtmpfs (rw,relatime,size=10240k,nr_inodes=1008641,mode=755) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,nosuid,noexec,relatime,gid=5,mode=620,ptmxmode=000) tmpfs on /run type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,noexec,relatime,size=808160k,mode=755) /dev/disk/by-uuid/eb5e28f7-395f-4556-aff4-8c8910a6295c on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,user_xattr,barrier=1,data=ordered) tmpfs on /run/lock type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,size=5120k) tmpfs on /run/shm type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,size=4924640k) binfmt_misc on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime) fusectl on /sys/fs/fuse/connections type fusectl (rw,relatime) gvfs-fuse-daemon on /home/lucas/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=1000) gvfs-fuse-daemon on /root/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0) truecrypt on /tmp/.truecrypt_aux_mnt1 type fuse.truecrypt (rw,nosuid, nodev, relatime, user Stunden nur hier 12 Stunden nur hier 6 Stunden nur hier Alle Foren als gelesen markieren Forum Systemverwaltung, Installation, Aktualisierung System einrichten und https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/post/3119452/ verwalten ERROR no room on ep ring ERROR no room on http://robo.mydns.jp/Lecture/index.php?%C3%C7%CA%D2%2FDN2820FYKHDebian ep ring « Vorherige, 1, Nächste » Status: Ungelöst | Ubuntu-Version: Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) Antworten | thaddel Anmeldungsdatum:8. Juli 2011 20:44 Hallo zusammen, in letzter Zeit erhalte ich immer, wenn ich mit [STRG]+[ALT]+[F1] bis [STRG]+[ALT]+[F6] in einen error no Terminal wechsle, auf dem keine grafische Oberfläche läuft nach einiger Zeit (ca. 5 sec.) eine Reihe von Meldungen nach dem Muster [14002.329271] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329274] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329277] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329280] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep error no room ring [14002.329283] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329286] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329289] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329293] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329296] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring [14002.329299] xhci_hcd 0000:04:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring ... Benno-007 Anmeldungsdatum:28.
