not found????? Smart Device Development > Visual Studio Smart Device Development – Visual Basic and C# Projects Question 0 Sign in to vote Hello All, Whenever I try to load the Sample CS projects (These projects are the part of Windows Mobile SDK 6.0 Profession) it gives an error. "Error retrieving information from user database. Platform not found" "The project could not be opened because it refers to a device platform that does not exist in your database." If http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32075498/error-retrieving-parent-for-item-no-resource-found-that-matches-the-given-name this is Web project you need to install Visual Studio 2005 SP1 which is adding full support for Web Projects. If error retrieving this project is for a Smart Device (for Windows Mobile 5 or 6) you will need to install Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for Smartphone, Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for Pocket PC or Windows Mobile 6 SDK. Don't forget to install Active Sync and error retrieving information upgrade Device Emulator to version 2.0.
