Last night error spawning I was trying to compile and run code and it was telling me it was having trouble 'spawning cmd.exe'. I did a repair on it last night and ran a quick test and it worked fine. Today I go to use it and am immediately running into the same error. Have no idea why. Does anyone have any clue why this would be? 11-25-2012 #2 A34Chris View Profile View Forum Posts Registered error spawning cmd.exe User Join Date Sep 2006 Location Beaverton, Oregon, United States Posts 176 I'm trying to post this problem on the m$ forum and it is set up so horribly I'm not messing with that. I'll send them an email if I can find an email to use. 11-25-2012 #3 A34Chris View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Sep 2006 Location Beaverton, Oregon, United States Posts 176 looked this error up: Code: 1>------ Build started: Project: logical shift search, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ 1>Embedding manifest... 1>Project : error PRJ0003 : Error spawning 'cmd.exe'. 1>Build log was saved at "file://c:\Documents and Settings\Cruisin'\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\logical shift search\logical shift search\Debug\BuildLog.htm" 1>logical shift search - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s) ========== Build: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped ========== Search results say one of the main causes is low system resources. I got a 4 gig system here. Hmm. I did just update the BOINC client. That may be causing the problems. 11-25-2012 #4 A34Chris View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Sep 2006 Location Beaverton, Oregon, United States Posts 176 Yanked out boinc, rebooted into admin mode. Same problem. Disabled boinc completely and uninstalled. Same problem. I dont understand. 11-25-2012 #5 A34Chris View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Sep

If that doesn't work reset. Other wise it is a problem with VS - its trying to run your code output in a command prompt but cant open it. 12-21-2008 #3 hung555 View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Dec 2008 Posts 10 still a problem still the same problem... in reset do u mean restart the computer? 12-21-2008 #4 zigga15 View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Dec 2008 Posts 9 yes reset. if that doesnt work post your code (in code tags) then at least we can verify if it is a windows error, or a developer error :P ~ Dan 12-21-2008 #5 hung555 View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Dec 2008 Posts 10 here u go Code: #include
