Right now my computer will attempt to load windows (XP Home version w/SP3) but right after the splash screen I get a blue screen error then the computer will reboot and attempt to restart. The blue screen message states: (short version of message) Problem seems to be casued by: nv4_mini.sysDriver_Unloaded_Without_Cancelling_Pending_OperationsTechnical Info***STOP: 0x000000CE (0xB7C2E6E0, 0x00000000, 0xB7C2E6E0, 0x00000000)nv4_mini.sysI had googled this issue and tried 2 "fixes" through the windows recovery console utilizing chkdsk /r as well as attempting to rename the file to nv4_mini.old. chkdsk had found and fixed 3 issues but that didn't help. Renaming the file did not work either because the file could not be found (??

Up until a few weeks ago, my computer ran smoothly, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/406519/bsod-with-nv4-minisys-issue/ and never had any trouble. I installed a wireless networking card, and even did some updates via microsoft. That's when the problems began. From that point forward, and pretty much for the better part of this month, my computer has been blue screen crashing every 10-20 minutes. Sometimes it crashes seconds after reboot. With a usb keyboard, my computer woln't let me put it in safe mode when it boots https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/86207e48-e198-41ce-8fde-910f2b063984/error-with-nvidia-drivers-nv4minisys?forum=itprovistahardware up, so I have to just let it crash, or shut it down quickly as possible. I can't go on with this computer messing up this badly. Here's the error I get.: (Trimmed down to only give information that changes in the bluescreen template)DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUALSTOP: 0XOOOOOOD1 (0X45A8F640, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XF739F971)nv4_mini.sys - Address F739F971 base at F737D000, DateStamp 4074b958 Now, I've also done a fair amount of digging to find a way to fix this. I haven't come up with anything *useful* so far. If anyone has any solutions/suggestions, i would greatly appreciate it. I would hate to think that I will have to reinstall windows because of this, but if that's what it comes to...
