Do you want these applications uninstalled"This after getting to 4% installed and parking there. Anyone have any idea what's going on? I'm having to re-install everything since I had to replace my hard drive. I hit Yes, and am rebooting, but I thought it might be worth my time to see if this forum had any members that knew what this was. I tried again, got the same message, and the failed install notification told me to run Nero cleantool. I did. It eliminated the free nero 6 the tech people put on there with the new hard drive, and now still refuses to install. wither View Member Profile Sep 14 2011, 10:56 PM Post #3 Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 21,667 Joined: 30-August 08 Member No.: 8,132,427 This was a very common problem way back when. I couldn't find a general cure-all. Depending on your system, the installation may appear to be stalled but it can take a good deal of time to get by certain points. I always found it to look like it stopped around 57% but after several minutes it got going again. Are you installing from a disc or the downloaded update? If from a disc, don't bother. Go to nero.com, Downloads, V9 and download v9.4.44.0b. (note that you need 9.4.26 or later for Win 7 compatibiltiy.)run the general clean tool again. If you're running XP (are you), run the cleanmgr.exe. In vista and Win 7, run the Windows disk cleanup utility. Reboot. Turn off anti-virus and install the latest update. Is cleanmgr different than Nero clean? The download page you referenced says it's for updates, not initial installation. Will it allow me to install the program or quit when I can't tell it where the original program is?As to anti-virus I have AVG, will I need to go so far as to uninstall it? (I have before, but that was on my Brother's Windows 7 PC) Or can I just turn it off and that will be e

Nero 9 was originally installed (Nero-9.4.44.0b_update.exe), and it ran successfully with no problems. I then tried to install the Nero 9 Essentials disk which came https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091226020631AApXz7d with the computer installation, and which is supposed to contain the LabelTag feature. It would not load, responding with an error that stated “Installation Error—The installation process cannot be resumed. A rollback of the error with failed component will be performed. Some applications have been installed successfully and can be used. Do you want these applications to be uninstalled? YES/NO” I selected YES.I then removed Nero 9 and tried the Essentials disk again. This time it loaded and ran successfully. However, according to the instructions which came with the disk, I am supposed to launch StartSmart and select Nero Express Essentials, but this feature error with nero is not on the list of applications which shows up in StartSmart. Also, when the update list is opened from StartSmart, Nero 9 Essentials is not there.I would appreciate your help in getting the LabelTag feature installed with the latest version of Nero 9.Thank you. sdculp Buffer Underrun Posts: 15Joined: Sun Jan 01, 2006 10:45 am Top Re: Nero 9 Essentials Will Not Load by Ian on Mon Apr 25, 2011 9:19 pm Uninstall Nero 9 Essentials.Run the CleanTool - http://www.nero.com/enu/tools-utilities.htmlRebootTry reinstalling Nero 9 Essentials again "Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt." - Steve Jobs Ian Grand Poobah Posts: 14814Joined: Sun Apr 08, 2001 2:34 pmLocation: Madison, WI Website Top Re: Nero 9 Essentials Will Not Load by sdculp on Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:40 pm Thanks for the reply.I uninstalled Nero, ran the clean tool, ran Ccleaner and then installed the Essentials. Essentials basically works, but the Nero Application List does not include Essentials. Furthermore, this Nero 9 Essentials disk only contains a watered down list of applications. It does not include Burning ROM, Wave Editor, Sound Trax, Recode and PhotoSnap Viewer. If you go to the "Check for Updates" list of installed programs, Express Essential is not there, e
