But I got the "no space left on disk" error. Here's the output: Initiating DEFRAGMENTATION mode... Database: d:\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.edb Streaming File: d:\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.STM Temp. Database: TEMPDFRG1620.EDB Temp. Streaming File: TEMPDFRG1620.STM Defragmentation Status (% complete) 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 |----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----| .. Operation terminated with error -1808 (JET_errDiskFull, No space left on disk) after 862.359 seconds. Have I corrupted my database file?? :( I don't understand, the database file and stream file for public folder are about 16GB while the disk (D: ) has about 35.5GB. That's more than 110% space needed to process defragmentation as stated in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=192185 If my database file isn't corrupted (hopefully...), is there any trick to defrag it? Maybe the temp file is created in C: drive which is a lot smaller? Usually run about 500MB free on a 16GB disk. Planned to run ESEUTIL /d to gain space back and then remount store (priv1.edb). I am using the following syntax: eseutil /d /p D:\ex2000\mdbdata\priv1.edb /tH:\ Starts up and then immediately throws up the -1808 error. (2.63 seconds) Used the /p switch to create new db file on H: and not instate. Was going to rename the old and move to another location and copy in the new DB and rename to priv1.edb along w/ priv1.stm. I don't know if the fact I have 0MB on the D: drive is causing a problem. Not enough space on C: but plenty on H: We are hard down so any help would be greatly appreciated. The problem is you don't have enough disk space to perform the defraentation.You need to have 110% of the size of the store available on the drive your doing the defragmentation on.Best thing is to copy the files to another volume or server and then run ESEUTIL from there.
