Hello: Error # 7003, specific symptom # 313 Has anyone experience of this? (IBM will not assist, sorry to say, their web sit does not address the symptom, and internet searches have not helped so far, at least). SPSS 18.0 was functioning adequately for @ six months after installation. One day ( and subsequently), I received the Error # 7003 (license expired) specific symptom http://www.talkstats.com/showthread.php/20953-SPSS-18.0-error-7003-symptom-313 # 313 message. IBM site has some suggestions regarding error # 7003, but specific symptoms 6, 37, and 213. I have found nothing about # 313, however. Because I installed SPSS 18.0 (and all patches) after the 3/11 earthquake/tsunami, I am confident that the expiration of license message is mistaken. 7003 errors, it seems, often involve time or date mis-settings. However, my date and time appear to be correct, as far as I can tell. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am using MS XP, if that matters. Thanks, Batata Update October 21, 2011: I found from the License Authorization Wizard that, according to feature 1200, error # 3, specific symptom # 313, that my license expired, even the grace period, on August 1, 2011. However, since I didn't install it until March 2011, how can that be correct? Last edited by Batata; 10-20-2011 at 11:05 PM. I saw that, but I don't even understand the language used because I'm not a techie. I need simple steps on how to fix. _________________________________________ zetaclear Reply With Quote + Reply to Thread Tweet « Syntax for trimming r

However, assuming you have a valid license, these errors indicate that the license file saved in the installation directory is not valid. Perhaps the license file is missing or out of date and has not been updated, often even though you may have already run the License Authorization Wizard (LAW). 1. First, try just running the License Authorization Wizard (“LAW”) again. It is error # important that Windows users start the LAW by right clicking and selecting ‘Run As Administrator’. Windows users -Please complete the following steps: Navigate to Start > All Programs > (relevant program directory) Right Click on “License Authorisation Wizard” and select “Run as Administrator” Complete the license authorisation wizard, entering the authorisation code you have been provided with Restart SPSS. Mac users - Please complete the following steps: Search in Spotlight to find the SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard Complete error # 7003 the license authorisation wizard, entering the authorisation code you have been provided with Restart SPSS 2. If the above does not resolve the problem, you will need to rename the existing license file so that it does not interfere with the re-licensing of the product, and then relicense it. Windows Users 1. Go to the folder where Statistics 22 is installed. The default location is C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\22 (or 23) 2. Look for the "lservrc" file. 3. Right click on this and select ‘Rename’ 4. Rename it to "lservrc_old" 5. Run the Statistics License Authorisation Wizard (right click to run as Administrator) and re-licence Statistics 22 with the standalone code. 6.
