the backup that worked and that also failed on the recovery. Operation terminated with error -528 (JET_errMissingLogFile, Current log file missing) based on /mh i have the log files it wants and based on /ml the log files are all good. Specifically for one of the sets /mh tells me this about the log file needed. Log Required: 38805-38805 (0x09795-0x09795) but an error is thrown in the eseutil /r /a event log that eseutil is looking for A0D1 and i have no idea why, it seems like the same log file is being looked at for all the restored i tried. Clearly there is something im not understanding about eseutil, Anyone have any idea what i'm missing? thanks, tim Edited by MrTimPoth Wednesday, November 17, 2010 4:30 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2010 4:29 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote So i made a copy of the log file /mh said it needed and renamed it to what the event log wanted. the recover worked. didnt find what i needed in the restore to i restored from another date and that didnt give me any trouble so i must have unstuck whatever was causing my issue but dont understand what it was.
