Let me start from the beginning describing my problem and then telling you guys ( and girls ) what http://forums.msexchange.org/404_-_File_or_directory_not_found/m_1800506659/tm.htm i have found out so far. I have installed Server 2008 with the latest updates and so on. Then i installed AD and DNS. Again updates. Then i installed IIS, but i did not install ASP in the beginning, forgot it. Then i installed exchange 2007 and after installing the last features it needed i was ready and finished with the installation. But then it started. As i though i just go to my https://localhost/owa i got a popup where i needed to fill in my credentials for logging in. But to bad, i just got an error. As i must add, the error is different logging in locally then logging in remotely ( connecting to the web access page owa ). Locally i get the popup telling me this when i try logging in: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. Detailed Error Information Module StaticFileModule Notification ExecuteRequestHandler Handler StaticFile Error Code 0x80070032 Requested URL https://localhost:443/owa/auth/logon.aspx?url=https://localhost/owa/&reason=0 Physical Path E:\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\owa\auth\logon.aspx Logon Method Anonymous
Unable to Browse OWA and ECP with HTTP Error 404 Today I got this issue while working for a critical client. Well. This is a simple issue but there is no relevant article or blog available so I am http://msexchangeguru.com/2015/08/03/e2010-http-error-404/ posting. Many blogs are talking about replacing applicationhost.config file from backup. I would not recommend to follow it unless you are aware the backup is new and there is relevant change was down after this. Old backup can http://www.chicagotech.net/netforums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6128 change your current configuration. Infrastructure: 2 CAS/Hub Transport servers. 2 DC 2 mailbox role in DAG I was configuring Windows NLB for them. Issue: After Configuring WNLB one CAS server was unable to browse exchange 2013 OWA/ECP and giving the following error. ‘HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found.' Resolution: Default website was stopped for some reason and this is not normal so you would not think of this and troubleshoot IIS. Started default website and OWA/ECP started working. Conclusion: Stick to the basics. Prabhat Nigam Microsoft MVP | Exchange Server Team@MSExchangeGuru Posted August 3rd, 2015 under Exchange 2010. Tags: HTTP Error 404.
