The error I am getting is in IIS 7 (which is why I'm hoping to get help in this forum). In IIS, Exchange, Exchweb and Public are virtual directories that point to the same location as the owa virtual directory (in my case exchange 2013 owa D:\EXCHANGE\ClientAccess\Owa). If I click on the Exchange, Exchweb or Public virtual directories, then double-click Authentication, I get the following error: Then when I click OK, the status showing is constantly "Receiving status..." However, when I click the owa virtual directory, then double-click Authentication, then it goes through just fine without any error messages. I have not modified the web.config file. I can't find anything in Google that can help me with this error. I have tried to fix it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the Exchange Client Access Role. I don't know what else I can try to fix this. Everything else in Exchange 2010 seems to be working correctly - Outlook, OWA, and Active-Sync. iis 7 Windows Server 2008 R2 web.config authentication Exchange 2010 Reply lextm 6643 Posts MVP Re: Authentication error message - IIS 7 - Exchange 2010 Feb 19, 2010 09:16 PM|lextm|LINK I remember that once I saw such things on an Exchange server, as those virtual directories are special. You can post this question to our Exchange forum and see what Exchange experts say. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/exchangeserver/ Lex Li http://lextudio.com --------------------------- T

Solved URL error after login to OWA when using redirection in IIS to /owa Posted on 2011-12-18 Exchange Microsoft IIS Web Server SBS 5 Verified Solutions 42 Comments 2,432 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-12 We have made a fresh installation of Small Business server 2011 including Ms Exchange 2010. I've run the guides in the SBS Console and also made some small changes in Exchange manager. So things are pretty "fresh" and https://webmail.domain.com/owa works like a charm. I have followed the instruction exactly here: http://briandesmond.com/blog/redirecting-owa-urls-in-exchange-2010/ to redirect requests to http://webmail.domain.com to https://webmail.domain.com/owa http://webmail.domain.com now takes me to the login screen (form based). Perfect. But after entering the credentials I get a HTTP 400-error and the address bar shows: https://webmail.domain.com/owa/auth.owa I press F5 (reload), the page is reloaded and I'm in, and from here everything seems to work. So, pointing the browser to the main domain name without /owa (and getting redirected to (owa) gives the error described above, any ideas about that? 0 Question by:Martin_Radbo Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 16 Best Solution byakicute555 I have look on the article which you followed. and according to that we have to make changed under our default web site.
