Sorry that I didn't post one before. I also modified the summary field to more filezilla error 451 accurately reflect the nature of this bug. Even though the server returns the following error... Command: APPE Apr 2003 newsletter - First Presbyterian Church, Bucyrus, OH.pdf Response: 451 Apr 2003 newsletter - First Presbyterian Church, Bucyrus, OH.pdf: Append/Restart not permitted, try again. ... FileZilla continues to try to append to the file. (CuteFTP and CuteFTP Pro do this, too, which FZ appears to be modeled after.) I'm no FTP expert, but I think that this particular FTP server is possibly configured incorrectly. CuteFTP says that the server supports resumed transfers, and the server accepts the REST/Restart command, but it doesn't accept the APPE/Append command, even when REST is sent before it (CuteFTP). Still, FileZilla should notice error 451 and overwrite the file instead. It should also note this for future transfers, perhaps on a per FileZilla session basis. comment:2 Changed 13 years ago by cigamit Agreed, or it should at least give us the option to "Never Resume/Append", which really only a work around, but would make FZ actually usable by me. comment:3 Changed 11 years ago by codesquid This bug report has been closed due to inactivity and has

Some codes represent errors, most others simply communicate the status of the connection. Below are brief explanations http://jalbum.net/forum/message.jspa?messageID=265907 for the most common status and error codes. When determining a course of action, review the entire log; some codes are informational only, others indicate that you have entered the ftp error wrong information, and others indicate what the information is that you need to provide before continuing. For troubleshooting CuteFTP connection problems, also refer to Troubleshooting CuteFTP Connection Problems. The table below is provided so that you have some idea whether you can solve the issue on your own (e.g., code 331=you need to provide a password) or you need 451 failure writing to call your ISP for assistance (e.g., code 426=you are unable to connect to the remote server). These codes are used by most FTP servers/clients. NOTE: The information below is only offered as a courtesy to assist you in telling your Internet Service Provider what the error is so that they can help solve your issue. For example, if you get a code 426, the transfer was aborted and the connection closed. The solution to this error is to "try logging back in; contact your hosting provider to check if you need to increase your hosting account; try disabling the firewall on your PC to see if that solves the problem. If not, contact your hosting provider or ISP." The list below contains standard FTP codes. Numbers outside this list are proprietary to the Server or Client that you are using. However I am trying a new album with exactly the same settings as older ones and constantly get the same error message: info.cqs.remotefs.RemoteFSException:com.enterprisedt.net.ftp.FTPException:451. Transfer aborted. Input/output error Any ideas? I'm using Matrix 8.4 and uploading to my website not jalbums storage. Once "make album" is finished, the skin's job is done - it has no role to play in the uploading process, which is just a file-copying operation (from one computer to another). jGromit Posts: 30,981 Registered: 01/31/06 Re: Error message when uploading Posted: 13-Dec-2012 12:55 in response to: ledger Reply Can you upload the album using a standalone FTP client program like FileZilla? jws2005 Posts: 77 Registered: 07/27/08 Re: Error message when uploading Posted: 14-Dec-2012 13:17 in response to: jGromit Reply I do not have FTP program from Fille Zilla. So I do not know how that is working. davidekholm Posts: 20,557 Registered: 10/18/02 Re: Error message when uploading Posted: 15-Dec-2012 12:04 in response to: jws2005 Reply Just go to http://filezilla-project.org/download.php and get a free copy of FileZilla. Then try uploading the album folder from within FileZilla instead. This way we c
