This is strange because it worked before but stopped working though no changes had been made. It would be grate if someone could find the solution for this. Robert, Feb 27, 2004 #4 Robert Guest Found the solution. What did it for me was to restart the Microsoft Firew
Material Urchin WebAnalytics Software is discontinued and is no longer supported. All Urchin documentation applies only to the Urchin product as it was at the time of discontinuation, and does not apply to any Google Analytics products or services. Error code list for ftp commands failed FTP and HTTP remote webserver log transfers Overview An Urchin filezilla server Log Source can be configured to collect a webserver log from a remote server via FTP sftp port or HTTP. Under normal circumstances, the transfer will be successful and no errors appear in the runtime log. However, if some error is encountered during the transfer (e.g. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/ftp-problem-ftp-connect-unknown-error-number.236610/ an invalid username/password, remote server unreachable, remote log unreadable, etc.), Urchin will log an error code in the runtime output, as viewable in the Task History for the Profile. This error code appears in parenthesis next to the "failed" message after the webserver log transfer is attempted, e.g. (-9) The error codes are listed below https://support.google.com/urchin/answer/28456?hl=en along with a text message explaining the problem that was encountered. Trying to upload multiple files from a Client PC to our Net Server but keeps crashing mid way with a 500 Invalid Port command. Files can be 10 to 200+, all about 40k or less in size (beauty products just in case you are wondering). Transfers between 30 to 60 of 100 and then comes up with error and for subsequent files ftp: bind :unknown error number Doing ftp through simple DOS script. Patrick FTP Programs (CuteFTP all work OK in both directions). IS this an ISA 2004 issue or should i be looking elsewhere? Firewall Client is installed on local PC. PatrickJames, Sep 29, 2006 #1 Advertisements Kevin Weilbacher [SBS-MVP] Guest I'm trying to get clear where the problem is. First you say you are using DOS script, then you say something about CuteFTP. Are you saying that you can do all the uploads correctly through CuteFTP, but you get the 500 error when using the DOs script? Make sure when using the DOS commands, you are using Passive move, and not Port. OTOH, these two links seem to indicate that the 500 error may be associated with trying to prevent hackers from doings lot's of out bound FTP transfers. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=281193 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816459/ -- Kevin Weilbacher [SBS-MVP] "The days pass by so quickly now, the nights are seldom long" "PatrickJames" <> wrote in message news:... > Trying to upload multiple files from a Client PC to our Net Server but > keeps > crashing mid way with a 500 Invalid Port command. > > Files can be 10 to 200+, all about 40k or less in size (beauty products > just > in case you are wondering). Kevin Weilbacher [SBS-MVP], Sep 30, 2006 #2 Advertisements PatrickJames Guest Just considering the DOS FTP, have checked and does not seem to support PASV mode at all. Currently using ISA 2004, so will have to see if there is an equivalent update. AM going to reconsider method for upload and try and find a way to upload via PASV.
