The site in question uses a login and password (not "anonymous"), and the user enters these into text boxes. Every time I try to upload the file though, I get a login failure error (12105, I think) back from the FTP server. The same app worked fine when I tested it on my own local (anonymous-allowing) FTP server. I've double-checked the obvious things, like typos in the user name and pw. I figure I must be missing a step in the code. Here it is: Code: inetFTP.AccessType = icUseDefault inetFTP.Protocol = icFTP inetFTP.URL = "ftp://" & txtSite.Text 'This is the URL of the ftp server inetFTP.UserName = txtUserName.Text inetFTP.Password = txtPassword.Text inetFTP.Execute "FTP://" & txtSite.Text, "PUT " & sFileSpec & " " & sDestFile 'sFileSpec is the complete path & filename of the file on the 'local machine, and sDestFile is the file name by itself Last edited by JDM1965; May 20th, 2008 at 09:58 PM. I did it this way for my WebSite and it worked but it didn't work when I used FTP (like the way you have it) Code: inetFTP.AccessType = icUseDefault inetFTP.Protocol = icFTP inetFTP.URL = "http://" & txtSite.Text 'This is the URL of the ftp server inetFTP.UserName = txtUserName.Text inetFTP.Password = txtPassword.Text inetFTP.Execute "http://" & txtSite.Text, "PUT " & sFileSpec & " " & sDestFile 'sFileSpec is the complete path & filename of the file on the Reply With Quote May 20th, 2008,08:09 PM #3 JDM196

On my computer (WinXP SP2), on ftp error 12015 test workstations in our QoS-team (Win2003 Server) it works fine - over proxy and direct, proxy with auth and without). But some of our customers, that uses this service and_proxy_with_authorization on Win2003 Server, have a problem - all calls of HttpSendRequest fails and GetLastError returns 12015 (ERROR_INTERNET_LOGIN_FAILURE, The request to connect and log on to an FTP server failed). Herewith, equal HTTP-request, manually sent from IE address-line, succeeded. Proxy configuration seems to be correct. Here is initialization code: m_hNet = InternetOpen(m_strAgent.c_str(), INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_PRECONFIG, NULL, NULL, 0); // Respect explicit proxy if (Cfg::m_bUseProxy) { char szProxy[MAX_PATH] = {0}; strncpy(szProxy, m_strProxyServer.c_str(), MAX_PATH - 1); INTERNET_PROXY_INFO proxyinfo; proxyinfo.dwAccessType = INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_PROXY; proxyinfo.lpszProxy = szProxy; proxyinfo.lpszProxyBypass = NULL; BOOL B = InternetSetOption(m_hNet, INTERNET_OPTION_PROXY, (LPVOID)(&proxyinfo), sizeof(proxyinfo)); if (!B) { devent(TS::LL_HIGH, "[Wrn] InternetSetOption::Proxy failed
