3115 Are you SURE you are enabling INTERNET permission correctly? If you upgrade to the latest SVN snapshot, Indy now raises an EIdInternetPermissionNeeded exception when it encounters error #13 and INTERNET has not been granted (see this). What does the call stack look like when the exception is raised? Does it happen when activating the server, or when connecting a client? Why are you setting the DefaultPort and DefaultDataPort to the same port? –Remy Lebeau Mar 17 '14 at 17:29 I wrote exactly the same server on windows, everything worked. The server will not start on adroid... Help me please! –Pavel Rabinovych Mar 17 '14 at 20:23 Windows doesn't use permissions like Android does. This still looks like a permissions issue to me, that is why you need to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that your app really is running with the INTERNET permission enabled. Remember that permissions can be isolated to specific build configurations, so make sure all of your configurations are using the same permissions. –Remy Lebeau Mar 17 '14 at 20:58 How can I check this? –Pavel Rabinovych Mar 18 '14 at 7:01 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote There is a problem with the Internet Use Permission. why I am getting a "File open error = 13" error with my get? The file error code 26 the proxy failed to connect to the web server, ssl connection failed consists of 20 numbers on each line, with about 1,000 lines in the file. Below is the code, with some of the specifics changed for obvious reasons. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22459737/socket-error-13-access-denied-connecting-with-ftp use strict; use warnings; use Net::FTP; my $directory = "the directory"; my $ftp; $ftp = Net::FTP->new("1.1.1.1", Debug => 0) || die "Cannot connect to 1.1.1.1: $@"; $ftp->login("user",'pass') || die "Cannot login ", $ftp->message; $ftp->binary(); $ftp->get("$directory.thedir","C:\\temp\\ftp") || die "get failed ", $ftp->message; $ftp->quit; [download] Comment on File Open Error = 13?Download Code Replies are listed 'Best http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=803782 First'. Re: File Open Error = 13? by BrowserUk (Pope) on Oct 28, 2009 at 20:16UTC You can work out what that error number means easily: C:\test>perl -le"$!=13; print $!" Permission denied [download] Which strongly suggests that the userid you're using doesn't have permission to access the required file. Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error. "Science is about questioning the status quo. Questioning authority". That is strange as I use that userID/pass in FileZilla without any issues. I'll need to dig deeper.[reply] Re^3: File Open Error = 13? by ikegami (Pope) on Oct 28, 2009 at 21:18UTC It's a *local* permission issue. WinSCP translates the numerical codes to a textual description for you, so you do not have to remember them. The SFTP server should also provide a meaningful textual description of the error itself. WinSCP includes the server-side description in its error ftp error message, labeled "Error message from server". Such description can include more detailed information than WinSCP can possibly deduce from the numerical code. Code 4 (Failure) Codes List References Code 4 (Failure) Note that not all servers use all codes. Most SSH/SFTP servers, including the most commonly used OpenSSH, support only SFTP version 3 that defines only codes 0 to 8. Advertisements: These servers would generally use code 4 (Failure) for many ftp error codes errors for which there is a specific code defined in the later versions of SFTP protocol, such as: Renaming a file to a name of already existing file. Creating a directory that already exists. Moving a remote file to a different filesystem (HDD). Uploading a file to a full filesystem (HDD). Exceeding a user disk quota. In this case the server is required to provide meaningful description of the error itself (see above). Unfortunately, OpenSSH SFTP server uses always description "Failure". Is such case, there is unfortunately no way to tell a reason of the failure. Codes List Code Name Description Comment 0 OK Indicates successful completion of the operation. 1 EOF An attempt to read past the end-of-file was made; or, there are no more directory entries to return. 2 No such file A reference was made to a file which does not exist. 3 Permission denied The user does not have sufficient permissions to perform the operation. 4 Failure An error occurred, but no specific error code exists to describe the failure. This error message should always have meaningful text in the the error message field. See above. 5 Bad message A badly formatted packet or other SFTP protocol incompatibility was detected. 6 No connection There is no connection to
Now Thanks in advance, the answer to this one is probably staring right at me but I am not a programmer. When I run the following code (Access/VBA) to upload reports to our FTP server I am getting Error: 13 type mismatch. This is a datawarehouse refresh that used to be run by an outside contractor who is no longer available to us so I am trying to get it to work so that I can run it daily. When I first attempted to run it there were all kinds of errors as it seemed to be specifically writted for this guys computer (the printer driver was hard coded as well as the pdf program he used) I have been able to get most of it working but this one is stumping me. (he also had the ftp server and username and password hard coded which I have changed for security issue but I have confirmed that all of that is correct) Thanks again for any suggestions!!
