I want to get info from my personal weather station into YoWindow. I followed the instructions to download YoWindow_us.htx. Instead of getting a file, as I expected, I got HTML (?) code instead. I pasted that code into a text editor and saved the file as yowindow.htx. I then set up WeatherLink as described in the instructions. I feel sure the path is correct in the Davis application because a file entitled yowindow.xml has been created. When WeatherLink tries to download the information to YoWindow I get the error message: "Error connecting to the FTP server. (87)". I'm also running Norton 360.Tonight, following Pasha'a suggestion, after removing the htx and xml files from the folder, I downloaded the YoWindow_us.htx file by right clicking it and saved it as a target with the name yowindow.htx. That also generated an error in WeatherLink so I went back to the original file, as it did not create an xml file.I disabled my firewall in Norton and got the same error message: (87)I don't know what to do.Can anyone help? Thanks, Brad Tweet Share | YoWindow - weather widget, weather screensaver, desktop weather Bouncer7 Registered users do not see the advertisments Top Registered users do not see the advertisments Re: PWS and Davis WeatherLink by nico » Sat Jan 29, 2011 2:15 pm Hello Brad,You want to use the weather data in YoWindow on your own PC ?In that case you would not need to get an ftp-connection just a file copy/save process.Alternatively point YoWindow to the place where WeatherLink creates the yowindow.xml file and it should work.good luck, nico Tweet Share | best regardsNicohttp://www.wsMaurik.nl/ nico Posts: 44Joined: Sat Jan 02, 2010 11:40 pmLocation: Maurik, Netherlands Website Registered users do not see the advertisments Top Re: PWS and Davis WeatherLink by fakiris » Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:16 pm Dear Friends,I would like to help me because i can not find the yowindow file.htx.When I’m clickin

Options owensri View Member Profile May 8 2008, 07:51 PM Post #1 Rank: Tornado Group: Founding Member Posts: 52 Joined: 24-August 05 From: Wyandotte, MI Member No.: 1,173 Hello. I have WeatherLink 5.8, and I have a very annoying problem with it. Firsty, I've been running this program since September 2007, and uploading to my FTP server to post the data to my website. I've never had a problem all this time, until http://forum.yowindow.com/viewtopic.php?t=2503 April 2008. What happens is, when it tries to connect to the FTP server, WL freezes, and you cannot do anything at all. I have to restart the computer. This happens about 3-4 times an hour, and it will lock up, sometimes for a few hours straight at a time. I've called Davis, and talked to thier tech team, but they keep insisting that http://forums.accuweather.com/index.php?showtopic=6705 it's the ISP's problem, which in my case, would be Yahoo!. I've contacted Yahoo!, and they say the FTP server is fine, and everything should work if all the correct settings are in the program. I've re-entered all the information correctly a few times, and it will work, but within 20 minutes, since I upload at 5 minute intervals, it will freeze. I think it may be a problem in WeatherLink, since I can connect to my FTP perfectly fine. Any suggestions? I really would like to get this resolved.
