I've had no trouble upload files to this FTP before, but now nothing is working. It doesn't seem to be a permission pr
up to their ftp sites, but we have one that logs on but it won't do a nlist. Thats when I get the message: 550 Bad directory Components. Using Delphi 6 with Fastnet's NMFtp component. Thanks, Ed Remy Lebeau (TeamB) Delphi Developer 2004-04-13 04:49:36 AM Re:Anyone know what: 550 Bad directory components mean ? "ed"
a 'Bad directory components' message from my ftp client. I have tried downloading and using the ftp-rl.taz from sunsite (from the system/Network/file-transfer directory) and I *still* have the same problem.. Does anyone http://www.verycomputer.com/172_1bb6fe169dd3aa23_1.htm else have the same problem? Also, executing an 'ls -C' on either my current, or the ftp-rl.taz, ftp client, just gets me the normal (i.e., ls -l, or vertical) listing, when ftp'ing to most machines. The only exception seems to be sunsite itself.. If I ftp to sunsite then I get the correct output with ls -C. Anyone have this problem? Bad Directory Components when FTP'ing? Okay, so I'm not a Linux/UNIX whiz. My system has been up and running for the last 11 months or so. Today I tried to FTP files from my Linux system to another account and kept receiv- ing the error message "Bad Directory Components." The files list fine with ls -l and I can call them up in xv (they are images for a presentation), but I can't FTP them to any of my other three accounts. Any clues for this ancient "newbie"?
