A sample of the code follows: try { piFile = mpFTPexcon->OpenFile( fname, GENERIC_WRITE ); if( piFile != NULL http://forums.codeguru.com/showthread.php?142883-FTP-WinInet-classes-error-12003 ) { piFile->Write( buffer, nLen ); piFile->Close(); delete piFile; piFile = NULL; sprintf( msg, "Wrote %s to remote server.\r\n", fname ); WriteTraceFile(msg); } } When it's run, no exceptions are thrown and I get valid file handles -- everything works fine that way. On checking my trace file, I do have something like "Wrote 1.txt to remote server." to indicate full success. However, a problem occasionally arises when I try to write the following file, say 2.txt, to the remote server. I can get a failed write, with error 12003, followed by a trace of the InternetGetLastResponseInfo(), which indicates that the first transmission is still ongoing. For example: 010712082644 Exporting message... 010712082644 Wrote 4333.txt to remote server. 010712082645 Exporting message... 010712082645 Failed to write 4334.txt to remote server. Error 12003: 150 BINARY data connection for 4333.txt. And then followed shortly afterward, when the failed file is retried, by: 010712082645 Exporting message... 010712082646 Wrote 4334.txt to remote server. However, once I get into this cycle, the application is never able to recover from lagging one file behind, unless the transmit cycle is stopped, connections shut down, and then everything restarted. I know that FTP Server return code 150 is "File status okay; about to open data connection." and should

I've tried doing many other methods for uploading files, I've tried other libraries, etc.. But I cannot figure out anything. It works 100% on the latest version of Windows 8.1, but when I test it on Windows 7 or earlier, I get Error 12003 when using FtpPutFile. Every other WinINet FTP function works on error code 12003 every version of Windows, except for FtpPutFile. I have Googled this topic for at least a total of 24 hours. (Literally) I've had many different theories, I've tested them all, and nothing worked. I thought, maybe it's the file/folder name parsing. So I messed around with that, nope. Didn't work. I thought maybe it's a firewall problem, I ran as administrator and disabled the firewall, nope. I've tried countless of other things.. Nothing has worked. Here's my code. I'm using Visual Studio Express 2013. #include "stdafx.h" using namespace std; #include
