Hp Laserjet 2200 Service Manual
You should have started another post or added on to a 2100 thread. My first question would be does the motor turn when you lift and close the toner door. If it does then it means the error condition

is a no toner or paper out condition. For the toner, open the door, remove the toner and look for the paper like clips on the left side which make contact with the toner cartridge. Sometimes they get bent and do not make contact and the printer thinks there is no toner cartridge. The other thing is to put a sheet of paper on the manual feeder and see if the green light stays on. If it does then hp laserjet 2100 error lights you have something wrong with the paper out sensor/flag for the paper tray. If the motor does not turn it means you have a paper or at least the printer thinks you do by virture of a sensor flag being out of position. Most common area would be the fuser in the back. by dmzcompute on Dec 22, 2005 at 7:38am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 No it will not print and does not give an error message either by Brian on Apr 12, 2004 at 9:53am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You need to press the go and job cancel buttons at the same time to get the secondary code of lights. Hi All, Having a nightware with a laserjet 2200dn. The error light is flashing all the time. The computer tells me hp laserjet 2200 all lights on that the printer has no paper in it but there is? I have performed cold resets on EIO, NVRAM, I have exchanged formatter board, engine controller board, registration assembley for paper sensor in tray 2, i have checked rechecked all http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/18265 connections to every component to this printer. The only option left is the main power board, this has a wire running from it to the paper sensor for tray 2, is it possible that there is no current reaching the sensor from the board even if all other part are OK? Any advice would be appreicated. Martin: One fo three things could cause that problem: 1). Fuser Exit Sensor is knocked out of place or the Optical Sensor at the Fuser Exit Sensor is bad. 2). Toner Cartridge is not being detected. 3). The Top Cover latch is not activating the switch. When you turn the printer on, do you hear the Motor running? Noise or no noise??? If you don't hear the motor running, most likely cause #1. Remove the Fuser assembly and check the Sensor flag arm and the sensor itself. Use compress air to clean teh Optical sensor. This is helpful in cases where you feel that some of the printer's settings are incorrect, like paper size & type settings, advanced print quality settings, and even network and communications settings. Cold Resets are also commonly used when someone wants to erase the printer's IP address and network settings and start fresh. Here is a list of Cold Reset instructions for popular LaserJet printers. Please note: Any custom settings you have programmed from the printer's control panel will be reset to factory defaults, including the IP address if you have a JetDirect card installed. Remove the JetDirect card while you cold reset the printer if you don't want to erase the JetDirect card's settings. You can also reset the NVRAM. Resetting the NVRAM will clear the page count and reset the service mode settings to factory defaults. On printers with a display panel you need to enter service mode to manually change the information stored in NVRAM. On printers that don't have a display panel, such as a 5P, 6P, 2100, 2200 there is a different procedure outlined below. "Older" printers with a display panel.
