Please insert a disk into drive." If provides the drive letter involved and offers one to Cancel, Try Again, or Continue. Note: File Explore does show the iPod, w folders, listed as the drive prompted for. If does correctly sync that files. Also, once one ejects the iPod, file explores, correctly, no longer lists that drive. The event log simply records this as eventID 26 repeating several times.Microsoft's support site states the following for the eventID:Explanation The program could not load a driver because the program user doesn't have sufficient privileges to access the driver or because the drive is missing or corrupt. User Action To correct this problem:Ensure that the program user has sufficient privileges to access the directory in which the driver is installed.Reinstall the program to restore the driver to the correct location. However, I do have privileges and the application has been reinstalled.Ideas what is triggering the prompt? I bought a new USB cord and the first time I plugged it in itunes opened automatically and a message popped up that said, "Windows - https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-windows-xp-no-disk-in-drive-warning-with-ipod-nano-itunes.960551/ No Disk: There is no disk in the drive. The message disappears if I click one of the buttons multiple times and my ipod is still shown on itunes afterward. I have not tried syncing my ipod to my computer yet because I want to move the music on my ipod to my computer. The problem is that my ipod shows up in My Computer under Device with Removable Storage as (D: ), but when I open the file my music isn't in it. I have read numerous other posts and tried nearly every option. At one point I tried to change the start up of my computer so that only itunes and another program (qquatck?) would start. However when I pressed O.K. to confirm my manual start up choice a message popped up that said something went wrong, and a program/file could not be stopped... I don't know if that is relevant, just thought I should explain everything. So far, I have tried the 5 R's, uninstalled/reinstalled itunes (and all other components in the correct order), changed the drive letter, manually started up my computer to see if any programs were interfering, changed my ipod to disk mode, updated/u

The error reads: "There is ipod error no no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ." (notice the blank space between drive and the period. Most error messages of this nature that I've googled for have a drive letter or directory path there. Just a blank for me). I have 3 buttons for choices; Cancel, Try Again, or Continue. If I hit Cancel or Continue, it comes up again, and this happens for anywhere from 6-8 times. It is important to note that I have Alcohol 120% running with a virtual drive, an Ipod connected, a floppy drive, and I have a USB card reader with 4 slots. It is similar to a floppy drive in that each slot is portrayed by a drive, whether there is a disk/card in it or not. This is a bug in 5.2 In 5.111 this isn't a problem (that is the closest to 5.2 that I've tried). I did a full uninstall and reinstall multiple times, with numerous restarts and the problem wasn't fixed. Most people in the forums have attributed this to a problem with a plugin. However, the only plugin I ever had was the ml_ipod plugin, and I have since removed that. I'm assuming I'm a black s
