Please insert a disk into drive." If provides the drive letter involved and offers one to Cancel, Try Again, or Continue. Note: File Explore does show the iPod, w folders, listed as the drive prompted for. If does correctly sync that files. Also, once one ejects the iPod, file explores, correctly, no longer lists that drive. The event log simply records this as eventID 26 repeating several times.Microsoft's support site states the following for the eventID:Explanation The program could not load a driver because the program user doesn't have sufficient privileges to access the driver or because the drive is missing or corrupt. User Action To correct this problem:Ensure that the program user has sufficient privileges to access the directory in which the driver is installed.Reinstall the program to restore the driver to the correct location. However, I do have privileges and the application has been reinstalled.Ideas what is triggering the prompt? Microsoft'sThis is specific to XP, and your profile shows you are using XP.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925196/en-us2. An old post in another forum that said "I un-installed iTunes and then went to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Applications Data\Apple Computers\iTunes and deleted the iTunes preferences file. I did the same at C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Applications Data\Apple Computers\iTunes. I then re-installed iTunes."Neither of the above worked for me.What did work was very simple: with the iPod connected, on the Summary tab, check the "Enable disk use" option, then click Apply.Hope this helps. I bought a new USB cord and the first time I plugged it in itunes opened automatically and a message popped up https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-windows-xp-no-disk-in-drive-warning-with-ipod-nano-itunes.960551/ that said, "Windows - No Disk: There is no disk in the drive. The message disappears if I click one of the buttons multiple times and my ipod is still shown on itunes afterward. I have not tried syncing my ipod to my computer yet because I want to move the music on my ipod to my computer. The problem is that my ipod shows up in My Computer under Device with Removable Storage as (D: ), but when I open the file my music isn't in it. I have read numerous other posts and tried nearly every option. At one point I tried to change the start up of my computer so that only itunes and another program (qquatck?) would start. However when I pressed O.K. to confirm my manual start up choice a message popped up that said something went wrong, and a program/file could not be stopped... I don't know if that is relevant, just thought I should explain everything. So far, I have tried the 5 R's, uninstalled/reinstalled itunes (and all other components in the correct order), changed the drive letter, manually started up my computer to see if any programs were int

Ever since then, when I try to sync my http://www.iphonehelpzone.com/post/windows-no-disk-error.html iPod, I get an error message that pops up. The title of the message says "Windows - No Disk" and the error it self says "There is no disc in the drive. Please insert a ipod error disk into drive P:." (where P: is the drive letter assigned to my iPod. The error has Cancel/Try Again/Continue boxes on it. I know this is related to the updated version of Security Center, because this never happened UNTIL I finished the restart at the end up updating Security Center. I am able to have this message not pop up if I select "enable disk use" in my iTunes, but ipod error there I shouldn' have to do that. Is there a setting in the new version of Security Center I can change to make it not be looking for a disk in this drive? Worked great on GoPhone and Telcel (in Mexico). I submitted an official unlock request to AT&T, and they approved it--told me to restore it in iTunes to complete the unlock. I backed up the phone, then hit the Restore button in iTunes. The restore completed successfully, but now I get the "There is no SIM card in the iPhone you are trying to activate" message. The iPhone shows the Connect to iTunes screen. I have tried this on my MacBook with Mountain Lion and iTunes 10.7 and on my wife's notebook with Windows 7 and iTunes 10.7. I've tried several USB cables and different USB ports on both computers. I have also taken the SIM out, cleaned it, and reinserted it. What next?
