I finally jiggled it around in the port and left the room, a while later it was green-- but, it was not being detected in iTunes!!Any ideas on what this could be and what I can do?My computer is a Win

It's the 1 GB model, and quite frankly, I love it, and it is a worthy updrade from my old 16 MB unit. (and 1/4 the size ) However, I get a lot of error # 36s and "Preferences could not be saved because the iPod could not be ipod shuffle found" errors. What do I do to fix this? I've tried different USB ports. To add songs to it, I have to reformat it each time. I have iTunes 4.7.2 and iPod Shuffle updater 1.1.
 sacear 0 Member 0 50 posts Posted 7 Jun 2005 · Report post Hmm, that seems strange. Try using a different USB port. Maybe upgrade to iTunes 4.8. 0 Share ipod shuffle error this post
 Jaggedfel 0 Member 0 206 posts Posted 7 Jun 2005 · Report post I've tried different USB ports, I've checked the 'net, and it seems a lot of people are having this problem. I'll get iTunes 4.8 tonight. (or is 4.9 released yet? It saw something about it on the front page.)
 jsuen 0 Member 0 45 posts Posted 1 Aug 2005 · Report post hi, you could try this link if you're still having problemshttp://jsuen.blogspot.com/2005/06/wwyw-ipod-shuffle.htmli've had the same problem before and managed to get it back to working orderhope it helpsjon
 La Bruja 0 Member 0 1 post Posted 21 Aug 2005 · Report post Os: WinXp Pro 64bit, itunes 4.9, iPod updater2005-06-26 (v1.1)I tryed this, works but doesn´t solve the probem- as soon as I plug the shuffle, use the iPod updater to restore to factory settings, - unplug (save remove) - place only the songs I want to hear in the iTunes library - plug again, let the iTunes recognice it and let it autofill.I know, Iknow, I know not the best solution, but I can lisent to musicsorry for my english, (not native), hope undrestand and hope find another solution.
