Whenever i connect my ipod to my pc and open my itunes, it says "corrupted" and ask me to reconnect or restore the ipod. But when i how to put ipod in disk mode try to restore it, it says "Unknown error 1415". I tried many times to re-install/repair itunes ipod touch error -39 and swtich to "manual" with the Terminate Service,.... but it still does not work.. SO WHAT DO I DO????????????? Restoring the iPod will delete all files on the device and restore the device to the factory settings. When restoring an iPod you may encounter a 1439 error code. This code indicates that an unknown error has occurred. This error may occur for several different reasons including outdated USB drivers and a outdated version of iTunes.Things You'll NeedUSB sync cableStep 1Download the latest version of iTunes. Click on the download link and follow the installation prompts.Step 2Disconnect the iPod from the computer and any additional peripheral devices connected into the USB ports, with the exception of the mouse and keyboard. Restart the computer.Step 3Reconnect the iPod to a USB port. If possible connect it to a different USB port than that which was used in the previous restore attempt. ITunes should recognize the device and display the iPod device icon the left pane.Step 4Make sure disk use is enabled in iTunes. Select the iPod device icon in the left pane. Select the "Summary" tab in the right pane and check "Enable disk use."Step 5Restore the iPod again. To restore, launch iTunes and select your iPod device in the left pane. Hit "Restore," and iTunes will restore the device. After restoration is complete, iTunes will ask you to name the device and select syncing preferences for the iPod.Step 6Update the USB driver software in Windows if the error still occurs. To update the driver, click on the "Start" button and enter "Device Manager" in the search field. Click on "Device Manager" and click on "Update Driver Software."
