an association between two tables of an old DNN site I have. The "users" table has a int UserID primary key field. It also has a "Username" field which is taken from the "UserName" field of the aspnet_users membership table. I'd like to link the aspnet_users table to the DNN users table via the "UserName" fields. Here's what I've tried: 1) Delete the Username fields from both error 3027 no mapping specified for the following entities in the EDM (same error with and without this step) 2) Change UserID to Username & UserName in the AssociationSetMapping (XML... not able to do in UI)

They could very easily fix the designer to make this process simple; but instead, we have to put up with this crap. To fix: Click on the association, and go to the mapping details view. Jul is not 10, 2012 12:18 PM|mihir.mone|LINK Hello, I am new to Entity framework. I want to use this in my new project. I started with modelling my relational tables in the EF designer. There are few tables in the database which hold more than one key. e.g. Sector <- Subsector -> Business subsectors 1. Sector.SectorID - is not mapped PK 2.a. SubSector.SubSectorID - PK 2.b. SubSector.SectorID - FK 3. BusinessSubSectors.SubsectorID - FK I have mapped this SubSector entity to both Sectors and BusinessSubsectors. But when I compile the solution, it gives me an error for the association between SubSectors-> BusinessSubsectors onSectorID key. "Association End Key property SectorID is not mapped." Is it necessary to define mapping for all keys in the table/entity even if they are not required in the association, doesnt make any sense to me. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Mihir. EDM:Error 11011: Association End key property 'Id' is not mapped.Solution: open as plain xml the .edmx file, remove everything related to the entity causing the error, then open the model with the designer and "Update model from database..." After you build, you should not get this error anymore.
