Error 27553 Error Connecting Database
Contents |
PMI created an InstallShield MSI project with 5 SQL scripts that I have run successfully in other projects. When I run the project, I get an "Error 27553: Error connecting to database MDONLINE, Server : Microsoft SQL Server
The Server Principal Nt Authority System Is Not Able To Access The Database Commvault
(local). Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for MDONLINE." I have a custom dialog commvault nt authority system is not able to access the database that I am using to select the databases that I wish to update and have verified that the IS_SQLSERVER_DATABASE property is

being set correctly. What can I look for here..when I tried debugging the project, the error is happening somewhere outside of the InstallScript. bhagelin11-01-2006, 06:54 PMAt a quick glance it looks like it might be something with the SQL Server you're trying to run the scripts against. That error normally means that the database (MDONLINE) doesn't exist. But if you're selecting from a populated list of databases then it probably does exist. Can you check the sysdatabases table on the SQL Server and see if the database MDONLINE is correctly registered with the SQL Server? DMorisseau11-01-2006, 07:49 PMSince this is my dedicated testing server, I know that I have no such database as MDONLINE, nor have I ever had such a database on the SQL Server. I verified through IS debugger that the IS_SQLSERVER properties are all being set to the correct values. Any idea as to what I can look when I'm back in the office tomorrow AM? DMorisseau11-03-2006, 07:25 PMOk, the problem is solved. I ended up creating the project from scratch (previously I had created the project from one that I already had that was working). I should have remembered the last time I started an MSI-type project from another one..I had to do one from scratch too! Charlieh12-14-2006, 04:38 AMI've just run into this problem. I too have verified that the DB name I'm using doesn't exist and I also get the same error on other SQL Servers. I've also removed the other SQL Scripts to see if they were somehow causing the problem but they weren't. I'm running the following commands at the top of my script: if NOT exists (select * from sysdatabases where name= '

Simply put, I am getting the error: The server principal "dhtest" is not able to access the database "dhtest2" under the current security context. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 916) But, the details are a little fuzzy I have two installations https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/354291/the-server-principal-is-not-able-to-access-the-database-under-the-current-security-context-microsoft-sql-server-error-916 of SQL Server 2008 RC0. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (CTP) Enterprise Edition (64-bit) CTP is installed on one server running Windows Server 2008 x64. And, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (CTP) Enterprise Edition CTP is installed on the other server running Windows Server 2003. Both were installed with the same installation options (the SQL services are all running using a local admin account). I created two databases on the x64 server: db: dhtest user: dhtest with dbo permission dhtest db: dhtest2 user: dhtest2 with dbo permissions to dhtest2 I then try connecting via sql server management studio using SQL authentication and get this error: The server principal "dhtest" is not able to access the database "dhtest2" under the current security context. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 916) But . . . I can connect to the x64 server from the server running Windows Server 2003 with SQL server management studio just fine. No errors at all and I have access to the as

Error Establishing a Database Connection is one of those curses that could be caused by many reasons. As a WordPress beginner, this could be awfully frustrating specially when it happened on its own without you changing anything. We ran into this issue yesterday on our own site. It took a is not little over 20 minutes to detect and fix the problem. While doing the research to find possible causes, we realized that there was no good article that covered everything. In this article, we will show you how to fix the error establishing a database connection in WordPress by compiling a list of solutions all in one place. Note: Before you make any database changes, make sure you have sufficient backups. Why do you is not able get this error? Well in short, you are getting this error because WordPress is unable to establish a database connection. Now the reason why WordPress is unable to establish a database connection can vary. It could be that your database login credentials are wrong or have been changed. It could be that your database server is unresponsive. It could be that your database has been corrupted. In our experience, majority of the times this error happens because of some sort of server error however there could be other factors as well. Lets take a look at how to go about troubleshooting this problem. Does the problem occur for /wp-admin/ as well? First thing you should do is to make sure that you are getting the same error on both the front-end of the site, and the back-end of the site (wp-admin). If the error message is the same on both pages "Error establishing a database connection", then proceed onto the next step. If you are getting a different error on the wp-admin for instance something like "One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired", then you need to repair your database. You can do this by adding the following line in your wp-config.php file. Add it just before ‘That

Solution to this error is simple but very important.Fix/Solution/WorkAround:1) If possible add more hard drive space either by removing of unnecessary files from hard drive or add new hard drive with larger size.2) Check if the database is set to Autogrow on.3) Check if the account which is trying to access the database has enough permission to perform operation.4) Make sure that .mdf and .ldf file are not marked as read only on operating system file system level.Reference : Pinal Dave (http://blog.SQLAuthority.com) Tags: SQL Error Messages4Related Articles SQL SERVER - Fix: Error: 262 : SHOWPLAN permission denied in database January 5, 2010Pinal Dave SQL SERVER - Fix : Error : Invalid object name ‘sys.configurations'.
