Error 27553 Sql

PMI created an InstallShield MSI project with 5 SQL scripts that I have run successfully in other projects. When I run the project, I get an "Error 27553: Error connecting to database MDONLINE, Server : Microsoft SQL the server principal nt authority system is not able to access the database commvault Server (local). Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for MDONLINE." I have a custom

dialog that I am using to select the databases that I wish to update and have verified that the IS_SQLSERVER_DATABASE property is commvault nt authority system is not able to access the database being set correctly. What can I look for here..when I tried debugging the project, the error is happening somewhere outside of the InstallScript. bhagelin11-01-2006, 06:54 PMAt a quick glance it looks like it might be something with the SQL Server you're trying to run the scripts against. That error normally means that the database (MDONLINE) doesn't exist. But if you're selecting from a populated list of databases then it probably does exist. Can you check the sysdatabases table on the SQL Server and see if the database MDONLINE is correctly registered with the SQL Server? DMorisseau11-01-2006, 07:49 PMSince this is my dedicated testing server, I know that I have no such database as MDONLINE, nor have I ever had such a database on the SQL Server. I verified through IS debugger that the IS_SQLSERVER properties are all being set to the correct values. Any idea as to what I can look when I'm back in the office tomorrow AM? DMorisseau11-03-2006, 07:25 PMOk, the problem is solved. I ended up creating the project from scratch (previously I had created the project from one that I already had that was working). I should have remembered the last time I started an MSI-type project from another one..I had to do one from scratch too! Charlieh12-14-2006, 04:38 AMI've just run into this problem. I too have verified that the DB name I'm using doesn't exist and I also get the same error on other SQL Servers. I've also removed the other SQL Scripts to see if they were somehow causing the problem but they weren't. I'm running the following commands at the top of my script: if NOT exists (select * from sysdatabases where name= '

Server: Microsoft SQL Server SERVERNAME\...\RECHNERNAME$" is not able to access the database "DBNAME" under the curent security context. (916)Mein erster gedanke war, das das SQL Script im Systemcontext ausgeführt wird (...\RECHNERNAME$). Darum habe ich unter den CustemActions ISSQLServerInstall die Ausführung auf "Verzögerte Ausführung" gestellt (von " Verzögerte Ausführung im Systemcontext").Allerdings das hat nichts gebracht. Was mus ich tuhen?Danke für Hilfe schon mal voraus. SERVER - FIX : Error 945 Database cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. See the SQL Server error log for details August 2, 2007Pinal DaveSQL, SQL Server, SQL Tips and Tricks118 commentsSQL SERVER - FIX : Error 945 Database cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. See the SQL Server error log for detailsThis error is very common and many times, I have seen affect of this error as Suspected Database, Database Operation Ceased, Database Stopped transactions. Solution to this error is simple but very important.Fix/Solution/WorkAround:1) If possible add more hard drive space either by removing of unnecessary files from hard drive or add new hard drive with larger size.2) Check if the database is set to Autogrow on.3) Check if the account which is trying to access the database has enough permission to perform operation.4) Make sure that .mdf and .ldf file are not marked as read only on operating system file system level.Reference : Pinal Dave (http://blog.SQLAuthority.com) Tags: SQL Error Messages4Related Articles SQL SERVER - Script level upgrade for database ‘master' failed because upgrade step ‘sqlagent100_msdb_upgrade.sql' January 30, 2016Pinal Dave SQL SERVER - FIX - Error: Alter failed for Server ‘Server Name' in Check Integrity task September 2, 2015Pinal Dave SQL SERVER - Fix : Error Msg 1813, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Could not open new database ‘yourdatabasename'.
