Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now For the last couple months, I have been getting several times per day an error message recorded by the server running IIS with WSUS installed. The source is "Windows Server Update Services" and the id is 13042. I have done research and have not found anything to resolve this. All clients are indeed getting update offers, and the server itself is not that has WSUS installed on it is also getting the updates offered. I have ran the Solarwinds Diagnostic Tool for the WSUS Agent on both workstations and on the WSUS server itself and the only problem found was the WSUS Server connectivity "content" error which research shows is because directory browsing is disabled which it should be. Any one have any ideas? So when WSUS was installed, it did not install in the default site. There is special folder that needs to copied from the existing WSUS site into the default site. Permissions must be the same. I have found this fixes it most of the time. I get that message every now and then, even after what I suggested, and clients update fine. I've chosen for the time, that I'm ignoring that message since I will probably move WSUS elsewhere later this year. 0 Jalapeno OP Quest John Feb 25, 2014 at 9:35 UTC While I did not see that exactly article, I have read many that same the same thing.
