Alongside maybe, as dual-boot? Or inside as a virtual machine on your Windows host? All you want to make sure is that you have some free, unallocated space on the harddrive where you want to install Fedora. (You can use Windows' tool for that) If that's the fedora 23 to 24 upgrade case, the installer will automatically detect the free space and suggest you a partition layout. (Use the click here to create them automatically). Make sure you select the right HDD (in case you have several installed) during the partitioning process.florian( 2016-03-15 17:44:39 +0000 )editi mean install fedora as dual-boot. before installing i shrink around 60GB of my hard and this part is unallocated and fedora detect it successfully. but when i click on "click here to create them automatically" fedora give me error. i do not know what to do :((alireza sadeghpour( 2016-03-15 19:15:09 +0000 )edit 3 answers Sort by » oldest newest most voted 1 answered 2016-03-16 04:51:57 +0000 cmurf 391 ●5 ●15 If you can reproduce the error, get to a shell (Terminal or tty2), and post some logs, that'd be useful. # fpaste /tmp/program.log # fpaste /tmp/storage.log journalctl -o short-monotonic > /tmp/journal.txt # fpaste /tmp/journal.txt Write down the short URLs returned from the fpaste commands and post them here. edit flag offensive delete link more Comments ok https://transfer.pcloud.com/download.... link of linux kernel logs thank you for attentionalireza sadeghpour( 2016-03-16 19:02:31 +0000 )editmy boot mode is legacy, problem can made from this??alireza sadeghpour( 2016-03-18 17:59:23 +0000 )editThe link to logs is expired. Published on Apr 8, https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/84407/error-during-installation/ 2015In this video I show you how to fix the Fedora boot label error message: "Warning: /dev/disk/by-label/Fedora-Live-WS-x86_64-21-5 does not exist." It may differ depending on the version of Fedora you are running, and this mostly comes up when installing via a USB drive. You need to watch how you label your boot media, and if needed change the label while booting to what ever you named the media (USB/DVD/CD).
