could be related to water damage, I'm thinking some water may have got inside the connector because it had a greenish look to it. After cleaning the connector out and wiping the green away, many resets, and restoring the phone, I still have the same issue. From comments around the web, I've read that simply cleaning the connector got rid of the error for a lot of people. What further steps I should take? If I was to open the phone, where could the source of the issue be, other than the connector itself? Answered! It winds up losing audio when using headphones, forcing me to reconnect my headphones. I just replaced my dock connector with a new one and I am still getting the error even after all the normal suggested software fixes for it. I have now replaced the dock connector and everything seems ok.
